Stunning accommodation on mountainside with breathtaking views
A bit of a journey to get to this beautiful villa but so worth the journey. The hosts were so welcoming and invited us to join their own family celebrations. The views were spectacular overlooking the pool and mountains in the distance.
Highly recommend this accommodation, so tranquil.

An experience full of ups but also downs
Difficult to be less positive about such nice people in a beautiful location. However, the road was not finished and had to be reached over a narrow path. We were warmly welcomed by the people present and shown to our junior suite on the edge of the swimming pool, which was only half full and dirty. Not as gross as the small pool nearby, which you would prefer to stay at least one meter away from. An attempt was made to clean the bath and fill it with cold water, but guess what, we were unable to use this. A big blow to the planned bill. Another bright spot was the presence of a small tea factory. Wonderful to see how it worked and what process is needed to ultimately have different types of tea. The other side of the coin was that on day 2 a bus of primary school children was dropped off to enjoy their school trip, including shouting and a total lack of any privacy. The food was, in a word, fantastic, both breakfast and dinner. Delicious. In short, a very mixed experience, but we would never go back under these circumstances.

Much too out of the way
The hotel is perched in the jungle and difficult to access by scooter. You have to go there on foot and with suitcases it's not easy, especially when there is 95% humidity, it's suffocating.
The swimming pool is not maintained, bordering on dirty, the room was really too humid, the sheets and towels were sweaty and no air conditioning. It's really not comfortable.
On the other hand, the view from the room was magnificent despite the rain and mist during our stay and it was clean and spacious.
The meals are really not good and they are expensive, and as the hotel is really out of the way we are almost obliged to eat there. In short, we didn't like this place.

Disappointed
This must have been a fantastic property in its glory years.
Now there isn't much left of that.
The property has a lot of deferred maintenance and that is not from the last few years. We got the room by the pool under the common area.
During a tropical rain shower, the water came through the ceiling in 3 different places in our room. The quickly unrolled plastic on the floor above was to no avail.
Towels were laid all over our room and our suitcases placed on the table.
The room was wet and damp even the bedding was claims.
At 5.30 am there is already plenty of activity in the common room, the walking rumbles through the floor and you can hear the conversations, so you don't sleep anymore.
The staff is super friendly and helpful like all the people in Bali.
The view of this place is magically beautiful and located in the middle of the jungle at 900 meters altitude. The food is good, healty and traditional Indonesian.
Realize if you book this hotel that you have to eat here in the evening because you can't leave. It is pitch dark and the path is impassable.
Take into account an access path of about 300 meters that is not equally accessible everywhere. You have to walk this part.
Your luggage will be transported this last piece on the back of a motorbike.
The pool is not heated and much too cold.
The photos are not representative of the location. And after working as an independent photographer for 30 years, I have a pretty good eye for that.
We are in Bali for the 3rd time and travel a lot through Asia.
The price-quality ratio is not right at all here.
We booked 3 nights but left one day earlier Mr. Wawan wasn't interested in the reason. He is only concerned with himself.
The magically beautiful Jatiluwih rice fields are well worth the effort.
Go there early in the morning and you will have this beauty to yourself.

Fantastic stay
Fantastically beautiful accomodations with the most amazing hosts. I am grateful to have experienced this exceptional place.The candle light dinner and wood burning fireplace was dreamy, not to mention the beautiful breakfast in the morning. I Will definitely be back one day.
