Totally worth it

The rooms were good and we were lucky to get a sea view room...we were 6 ladies and it was totally safe....the Cafe was fantastic and served yummy hot food...the staff were courteous..the best part ...the complimentary breakfast...

Great beachfront dining, but rooms need serious upgrades

Pros: The restaurant by the beach offers good quality food with beautiful sea views. Restaurant staff were professional and welcoming.
Cons: The property is quite old and this shows in the rooms. Our deluxe AC room lacked essentials such as a kettle and iron. Both the room interior and bathroom appeared outdated and in need of renovation. The bed was not comfortable. Additionally, no housekeeping service was provided during our two-night stay.

TRAVELER BEWARE: My Family Vacation turned into a Nightmare at Black Beach Resort

Our stay at Black Beach Resort was a series of service failures. The property looks nothing like the photos on booking sites. We waited 3 hours just to check in, which caused us to miss our planned excursion at Yodha Cultural Village—a huge loss for our kids.
Basic hygiene was ignored—no towels were available until after 4 PM. When we complained about the lack of a TV (which was expected), the staff was dismissive.

Drunk guests show from early morning and non professional management

Awful experience as neighbours. At 7,45 in the morning drunk guests of Black Beach resort showing several bottles of alcohol are playing music very loud in their balcony so none can sleep. Stay km away from this place. A terrible show. None from the reception is saying nothing and we feel no safe. Varkala is not anymore as it was before.

Average hotel with good location

If you are staying in an expensive and big room then this is a good option but if you aren't staying in big villa or suite then this is a very bad option.
Food is pathetic. It's only the location which it is
