Springfields is a heritage property run by Usha Lexus Hotels and has a colorful history. Originally built by Mohammad Yahya Khan an aristocrat from Lahore Springfields is spread across 4 acres of verdant garden. The lawns in some places are speckled with garden tables and chairs for you to enjoy a steaming cuppa while taking in the brilliant scenery. All the 11 high-ceiling rooms with wooden flooring have quaint fireplaces besides all modern amenities for your comfortable stay. Each room has an attached bath with a geyser two chairs and a coffee table in the sitting space a writing desk a double bed and a couch at the foot of the bed in addition to direct dial telephone satellite television long sweeping curtains purified drinking water and attended to a round the clock room service. The in-house restaurant Lutyens serves delicious multi-cuisine dishes and is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. To top it all breakfast is complimentary for in-house guests. Besides you have two cozy lounge rooms with a fireplace television set sink-in couches and wooden furniture. On a lazy afternoon why not enjoy a game of carom or chess. Or simply sit around in the back garden and behold spectacular vistas of the mountains and valley. Among other facilities you are provided with laundry and valet service ample parking space car on hire and travel desk to help you plan a sightseeing tour of Shimla.

Financial Discrepancies & Distressing Environment
Financial Red Flags: There is a major discrepancy between my bank records and the hotel’s reporting. I have irrefutable evidence of payment timestamps that the property is denying with the booking partner to acknowledge so that I can have a strong ground to initiate my full refund from the property/ booking partner .
Safety & Atmosphere: Beyond the poor physical condition of the rooms, the environment was deeply distressing and unsettled my entire family. Local records and the property’s own history suggest a "darker" side to this location that aligns with the disturbing experiences we had on-site. Attached pics will reveal the true picture of the property and its history.
Booking Mismanagement: Our records were inaccurately altered to show an earlier checkout than scheduled, complicating an already stressful situation. They have diligently shared the food bill amount on the front page of the actual bill and the actual principal hotel charge at the back of the bill -handwritten .So the bill I had to pay for ( 1 night ) for this terribly maintained property is 39K INR .

BEWARE - OWNER DOES DOUBLE BOOKING. GREEDY AND UNEMPATHIC GUY
He charges TOKEN UPFRONT BEFORE STAY STARTS even when Booking.com gives free cancellation till date of visit. He takes booking from portals and then treat guests as per HIS terms and conditions.
I being a female accompanied by all females, 2 special need kid with one on wheelchair. We had 3 day stay (3rd day a separate booking considering tentative plan). For last day he asked money immediately on arrival, which I told will revert in a day post discussion with family
as booking.com allowed free cancellation. To my surprise he did double booking even when I had confirmed booking for 3rd day from booking.com. He didn't even thought to check once as I mentioned i will come back to him max by next day.
Shimla has limited wheelchair accessible places, and I spent my birthday arguing with owner and searching for another place.
To my luck & blessing in disguise - i got a beautiful property NEAR BY AWAY FROM TRAFFIC - much better and had good buffet breakfast INCLUDED AT SAME TARIFF. I would definitely suggest people to check Hotel WOODVILLE PALACE Shimla.. its a PALACE run by empathic proffesional people. It had beautiful lawns, good buffet breakfast and privacy and peace.. contrary to springfield where Peace and privacy was completely lacking. They have very small garden contrary to pics in portals and all noise of people chatting their comes in the room. Both days I woke up early because of loud chit chat from people in garden. Mine were best rooms overlooking garden other room are cramped with no views.
Service was good and team was taking all efforts but their all efforts go in vein with greedy and zero empathy owner who didn't even think twice while doing double booking, taking token from other people and asking all of us females with wheelchair kid to checkout even after confirmed booking.

On the very day of check-in, denied my booking for 3N so as to get profit from another booking of 8 rooms. In human unprofes
My booking was confirmed for 3 nights for family suite by booking.com and hotel owner, but On the very day of check-in, the property owner denied my stay, stating that on 1 night all rooms of hotel is booked by another person, so to get more profit.
Because of this last-minute denial, my holiday plans were completely spoiled. This is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. I request everyone to be aware of such unprofessional attitude of the Owner himself.
