Good location, tasty vegetarian food and good option for a short stay

We were travelling from konkan to mumbai via karad and thus, decided to break our journey by staying at hotel pankaj. The rooms are little small but clean and well maintained. Staff is co-operative and helpful. The restuarant serves vegetarian food. We had paneer chilly, french fries and triple schezwan fried rice. The taste was good. If one wants to stay at karad or even halt for a lunch then hotel pankaj is a good option

Decent transit experience

As we were traveling with a senior citizen, we were particular about a room on the ground floor. Thankfully our expectations were fulfilled. The only concern was with the integrity of the hotel staff. They did not provide any invoice for stay or food and even requested payment to their personal GPay account. We ordered Misal Pav and received Misal with bread slices; this was surprising and the reception staff confirmed this was the norm.

Totally Disappointed

Pankaj Executive was known to us as a decent hotel so booked a one night stay enroute Goa. However, the experience was terrible.
When we checked in at night, there was no power supply and the generator was supposedly being repaired. So we had to bear the summer heat till late night.
The AC remote was in the custody of the housekeeping who gave it when we asked for it in the morning.
The door knobs (entrance and washroom) were not working properly. Complimentary mineral water bottles were the tiniest size and of no use.
The staff was probably used to dealing with unhappy customers and hence ignored everything that was communicated.

Hotel Pankaj Restaurant review

Tried breakfast with friends on the way to Goa. Restaurant was open at 8 am. Has plenty of car parking. Pure veg restaurant. All basic snacks are available. Onion tomato uttapa and Mysore masala dosa were good. Tea and coffee average. Pohe, cheese onion uttapa are good.

On the way rest

On the way from Goa to Mahabaleshwar we stayed here. It is a good place to stay for short time. They offer free breakfast but there is not much of the menu in that. The food taste is good. Rooms are small for a family but for couple it is ok. Staff is good and manged well.
