Good Food and Service, But Soundproofing Claims Don't Match Reality

The Pangong Hotel offers a spacious Superior Double Room with blackout curtains and partial mountain views. However, the advertised soundproofing and air-conditioning were absent — a significant disappointment given these claims. The air-conditioning turned out to be centralized heating system.
Room & Amenities
Spacious layout with decent natural light. Small but clean and tidy bathroom. Soundproofing and AC did not meet advertised standards.
Food & Service
One word: Excellent. Diverse menu with good breakfast spread and quality taste. Restaurant staff were exceptional — particularly Abdul, who went above and beyond for guest comfort. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful throughout.
Overall
Good dining experience and attentive service partially offset by misleading room amenities claims. Better suited for a couple of nights' stay.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY

Very good, nice, clean, safe & hygienic place to stay
The staff is warm welcoming, very hospitable and service oriented.
Food is very good
The place is within the city centre range. walkable distance from restaurants, coffee shops, business hub and market area.

Comfortable stay

They have big and comfortable rooms. Situated near the main market area - just 5 mins walk. Food is tasty and good, they change menu for breakfast and dinner everyday so you don't get bored with their food. Staff is courteous and helpful. They have big terrace on the first floor for group activities or spending night with friends out underneath the starlit sky. Small terrace on 2nd floor also and view of the city from top is also nice.
Ground floor rooms are near the restaurant but I would prefer rooms on the first floor near the Wi-Fi router as internet doesn't catch in the corner rooms. Small parking for two three four wheelers and some two wheelers.
Descent 3 star hotel.

Wonderful Hotel

Beautiful location. Wonderful view of the Himalayas from the galleries. Very polite staff. Amazing food. Very close to market. Free wi-fi. Facilities for outdoor sight-seeing available. Good Library in restuarant for reading.

Excellent stay

We stayed in the Pangong Hotel for 5 nights. The stay was excellent. The staff are very nice, food is very good. We stayed on the 4th floor which is a bit of a climb but the view is excellent. The Hotel is located very conveniently 5 mins walk from the market. Wifi strength was excellent
