Polite Staff. Screw in the Soup. Make of That What You Will.
We arrived to a non-functional elevator and a dead in-room telephone. Minor issues, both resolved eventually — just mentioning for completeness.
The vegetarian menu for snacks offered exactly two options. Two. I am not sure what the kitchen was doing with the rest of its evening, but it evidently wasn’t cooking.
We ordered a hot and sour soup. It arrived after an hour — during which I called them twice — cold. And with a metal screw floating in it. An actual screw. I am a doctor. I am acutely aware of what ingesting a foreign metallic object could do. I will leave the implications of that to the management’s imagination. We still attempted dinner. Dal, roti, biryani. Another hour. The room service woman helpfully informed me on the phone that “it will take time” — I can only assume this was meant to discourage further orders, which, as a strategy, is remarkable. The biryani was confirmed to include raita. It did not. What arrived — cold, naturally — came with two forks. No plates. No bowls. No spoons. No raita. For three people. We later requested salt. That took twenty minutes.
Politeness, I’m afraid, is not a substitute for food safety, basic preparation, or the basic competence of serving a meal with the implements required to eat it. Olive Downtown has politeness in abundance. Everything else appears to be in critically short supply.
Would not return. Would not recommend. Would, however, suggest the kitchen invests in a basic equipment audit before it ends up in a rather different kind of review.

Staff were all really polite and attentive without being overbearing.
Good location, easy to get Tuk tuks everywhere.
Pool very pleasant during the day.
