Rooftop oasis in Jaipur

Fantastic experience at this beautiful haveli (stately home), run by the family who has lived there for generations. There is a rooftop terrace with sunset views over the Amber Fort and the old city of Jaipur, where you enjoy a drink while watching local children fly kites from their roofs. At one time each part of the family had a separate wing of the house around a central courtyard. Each room is unique, but all are decked out in marble with lovely Rajasthani art and photographs of the host family and the Rajahs and Maharajahs who they served.
The meals were also excellent. We had planned to eat out for two of the three nights we were there, but we enjoyed the food so much the first night that we ate in for all three. You eat with other guests and the host family in a dining room filled with their collectibles and art, and are served by the family’s servants.
The haveli occupies a block of the crowded Old City of Jaipur, surrounded by street life in all its noisy chaos, and handy for visiting all the local sights.
Strongly recommended!

We had a great time and met some beautiful people.

Service was great, atmosphere was nice and relaxed, the rooftop was good for a sunset view and a few drinks, rooms nice and clean, the food was very very good, and the dinner conversation excellent. Nice place, nice down to earth people, they run a tight ship and are helpful for anything you might need including taxis and tuk tuk. We have a lovely time and the street the hotel is on, is a cultural spectacle. The only reason I have a 4 star rating was the bed was not very comfortable. This of course is a first world problem. Recommended.

A truly wonderful experience and location.

Such a magnificent stay with wonderful service and wonderful food.
The building is amazing with the most wonderful roof top for dining.
I cannot rate Khatu Haveli high enough.

Beautiful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the streets in Jaipur. We had lovely rooftop room. Owner gave us much needed sightseeing advice.

Wonderful stay - do not miss roof terrace

Very nice stay. This is the second time we've been here. Location, room, breakfast, dinner - just perfect for us. The new manager, Rahul, takes care of everything attentively and the owner is also very concerned that everything fits. Definitely recommended!
