A wonderful stay!

What a pleasure it was to stay at Herdmanston Lodge. The courtesy and daily attentiveness of all staff members made me feel most welcome; I wasn't just another guest passing through. Its location in Queenstown was second to none. One's first view upon awakening is lush greenery, and well-tended gardens. The hotel is in an area with many beautiful colonial-style properties which take one's breath away. The dinner selection was fine, breakfast adequate. You can dine outdoors if you wish, along with the cool breeze colours of the garden. It's just 10 minutes taxi ride to the city centre.
I thoroughly recommend this boutique hotel. The staff make it what it is. You're made to feel special!

Stay at Herdmanston Logde

We r now nearing the end of our stay. What a greeting we received on our arrival by Donna and her team that evening. Donna fully engaged us and ensured our needs were met for that evening as we arrived late. Although we did not see much more of her when we did she always checked in on how we were finding it also, Dee and Alesha who were lovely. I would like to give a big shout out personally to Calvin, Chris and Paul (security) for their exceptional kindness, engagement and professionalism. They were helpful and most above all friendly. Must not forget Sharon who was the cleaner on the floor we stayed. This lady exude warmth, kindness and helpfulness from the onset. When we fell ill she would check in on us. She demonstrated great interpersonal skills and was very informative on some of the activities we could explore. Her smile brightened any dull day.
Our room was spacious with everything we wanted. It was cleaned daily. Although the location of Herdmanston Lodge was quiet at time drivers passing by blaring loud music was a headache. The grounds are well maintained. The breakfast in the morning was bountiful.

This hotel can do better when paying at the hotel site. I booked on Expedia and quoted USD hence there is no reason that upon presenting my US credit card I am told there is a fee for using this card. The preferred option from the hotel point of view is to pay in local dollars. I didn’t have local dollars so I used a Guyana debit card which carried less fees.

I stayed with my family at Herdmanston Lodge recently and we felt right at home! The entire staff was welcoming, professional and accommodating to all our needs. The food and complimentary breakfast was a highlight daily for me!!! Fresh juices and tradition Guyanese meals I was simply overjoyed!!! Great location and very convenient to get around town. I look forward to returning sooner than later! A/C was powerful, cleanliness was great! I would absolutely stay again!!!

The staff was all friendly and courteous. The place is kept clean. Loved the gardens.. My stay was lovely in a peaceful and beautiful place. I will definitely do it again whenever I visit Guyana. Thanks to all who my stay great.
