MODERN AND COMFORTABLE, WITH SOME FLAWS

Located in a quiet suburb, with convenient parking.
Very modern, spacious and comfortable apartment.
Too bad about the towels, completely frayed!
There is no reception. You can access the apartment independently via a code that is sent by email. Too bad that, when we returned after dinner, the code no longer worked and the Customer Service did not answer the phone. Only after several attempts did we manage to reset the code.
Another problem, the hot water, activated through a button in the apartment, but with a timer that turned it off after a while.

Elephant Suites Thessaloniki

This is the second time we have stayed at this place, and I cannot help but share the terrible experience we had there. We booked a standard suite, and the photos on Booking.com were very clear. Instead, we were given a room designed for people with disabilities — a raised toilet, no separation between the toilet and the shower, space suitable for a wheelchair, and a room designed like a hospital room. There was dampness and mold on the walls, and worst of all, the air conditioning did not heat the room. The room, located on the ground floor, was freezing cold. The sheets smelled of mold or like a hospital. This was the furthest thing from a vacation one could imagine.
We contacted the hotel staff via WhatsApp but received no solution, and we did not sleep all night due to the awful feeling. In the morning, a cleaner entered with a small portable space heater. We made it clear that we were not staying in this room and that there was no connection between the photos in the app and what we received. After arguments, they agreed to move us to another room that matched the Booking.com photos, but even there the air conditioning did not work and the room was very cold. No compensation whatsoever was offered for this nightmare — stay away for your own good.

Nice rooms but....

The rooms, in fact small studios, are comfortable and very clean and their price very reasonable. The location is medium, a little too far from the center. The big black spot is the access system, we were supposed to receive a code by SMS to be able to open the rooms, I had two reservations (5 rooms in total) we received the codes for two rooms but not for the other three, I had to fight long by email to receive the other codes... that turned out to be wrong! New claim by email to receive the right codes: in summary stress and time wasting. When there is no reception, the Service must function perfectly and this is not the case here.

Well equipped apartment, however let down by local area

A modern apartment that was equipped with everything needed for a mini break. Air con worked fab which was a blessing in the July heat.
Disappointingly, we had to online check in and received our door code on an online portal, did not see any staff in the building or reception during our 5 days here. No option to have our room freshened or cleaned either during our stay.
There is an outlet mall and supermarket across the road from the building however that is all, the city centre is around a 20 minute walk or around €5 in an Uber. While we were completely safe in the building, we did feel there was a few suspicious people in the local area especially at night
