Would return in a heartbeat!
Oh how wrong was I, we have just returned from the best 10 days!
We have 2 boys aged 3 and 5.
The villa is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool is cleaned daily, and each villa has a well maintained garden.
We loved the location, it’s a 2 minute walk to aselinos beach which is a lovely rustic beach. Our favourite beach was Troulos and was only a 5 minute drive away. There are also lots of lovely tavernas and a delicious bakery!
It was a real treat seeing the donkeys that wander around the lanes and graze on the land in front of the villas.
We would absolutely return in a heartbeat!

Heaven.
As soon as the sun sets, the air is filled with the sound of wildlife from crickets to frogs and owls continuing until the roosters start to crow and the day shift of wildlife takes over. The beach never really gets that busy, and it doesn't affect the feeling of being away from it all. A car is needed.

Villa Daphne - Superb!
The villa is set in its own grounds with two similar properties a short distance away and quite separate. Villa Daphne is the top of the three villas on this small site. There are no steps to access the plot, just a gentle, paved slope uphill.
Car hire is essential as the villa is on the north side of the island away from the bus route. It is easily reached though and comes into view just as the sea appears at the end of the road. The very friendly owner met us and handed the keys over then gave us a brief guided tour. He was very pleasant and we spoke several times during the two weeks and got along well with him. Homemade cake, lemon jam and cherry liqueur appeared as a gift on one of these visits!
The villa is large, on two levels with bedrooms on the ground floor and living space on the upper floor. As you enter at the front door (where there is ample parking for your car) you find yourself in an open plan room with fully fitted kitchen to the left and a comfortable lounge area to the right. There's a cloak room on this floor too. You'll also find a 32" (?) TV with limited sat coverage of English speaking channels. We kept it on BBC World News. We had taken several DVD's though and theres a basic player hooked up to the TV. A balcony is off this area with table and chairs from where there is a great view of the beach.
A marble staircase leads to the lower floor where there are two bedrooms, one double one twin, and a good quality bathroom including step-in shower. There is ample wardrobe space in each bedroom including plenty good quality hangers.
Both bedrooms have quality patio doors leading out to the pool area, which is private and not overlooked. From the pool there are steps leading back up to the parking area. The pool is great! 6m x 3m and an even 1.5m depth with four quality sun loungers adjacent. We spent lots of time here. Its clean and kept so by a workman who visits around 8am every day. it also has a filter system running intermittently on a timer.
All doors and windows have security shutters and mosquito screens, which keep most of the little blighters out (but not all, take note!). The three villas are in private grounds with an electronic gate opened by a zapper provided with the keys. No chance of the kiddies wandering away from the grounds.
The cleaner visits every day and towels and linen are changed regularly.
There's wi-fi too!
Big Aselinos Beach is a short stroll of about 300m away and you'll find a good quality taverna there. Its 4km back to the nearest market though so, again, you'll need a car for essentials.
We loved our time at Daphne and would go again without any hesitation. It exceeded our expectations and I can't praise it highly enough!
