A gem of a find off the beaten track with simple accommodation and excellent food.
Well what a find! We booked two weeks before travelling and just went for the cheapest deal on the TUI website and we are so glad it turned out to be Villa Angela. Well off the beaten track, it is set in lovely countryside in the north west of the (small) island. We hired a jeep to do some exploring but other guests used the regular bus service to get around without problems.
The villa has 10 rooms so it is small and quiet. It has a lovely pool, great bar and a lovely terrace where we ate every night under a canopy of avocado trees and vines.
The rooms are basic but spacious with a small kitchen area. There is air conditioning that worked well. The shower was great and the bed comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard.
So that's all fine - it's a 2 star hotel and was exactly how we thought it would be. However, this place is made by Pasquale who runs it and Giovanni, his father, who does all of the cooking. We cannot enthuse enough about these two - Pasquale does all that he can to make your stay a good one. Nothing was too much trouble. The food that Giovanni prepares is quite exceptional. We ate there every evening and we never normally do that, preferring to explore different tavernas. There really was no need as it couldn't be bettered. Simple Greek and Italian food cooked perfectly.
Breakfast was a simple affair of yogurt , cold meats and cheese and an omelette (again, courtesy of Giovanni) served alongside lovely coffee.
There is nothing fancy here, just a great little place run at Greek pace. If we ever come back to Skiathos we will stay here. Highly recommended.

Where do we even begin? Our stay at Villa Angela was honestly the most amazing holiday experience my wife and I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and completely at home.
Giovani’s cooking is simply incredible! Honestly, we ate some amazing food during our time in Skiathos, but Giovani’s cooking beats every restaurant on the island. Every meal was made with so much care and was absolutely delicious.
And then there’s Pasquale, whose warm welcome, kindness and genuine hospitality make you feel like you’re not staying at a hotel or villa — you’re staying with family. That feeling of being welcomed into a home away from home is something we will never forget. ❤️
The views, the pool, the surroundings, the people, the food, the atmosphere — everything was just perfect. ️☀️
And we absolutely cannot forget Diva and Rambo ❤️ — two very special characters who became part of our holiday and made leaving even harder!
We genuinely cannot recommend Villa Angela enough. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful, peaceful, welcoming and full of warmth, look no further.

A little piece of paradise!
It's been 40 years since I last came to Skiathos and this time I was looking for somewhere quiet! Villa Angela is rural, surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland. The nearest beach is a short level walk away and there are free ranging donkeys everywhere! If you want to explore you may want to hire a vehicle. The nearest supermarket is in Troulos and you may have to go off road to explore the North Coast. The rooms are spacious with refurbished bathrooms and aircon but typically 2 star. The best thing about Villa Angela are the hosts. Pasquale is an entertaining host and Giovanni is a great cook, and they are both supported by a lovely friendly pair of dogs! Breakfast is simple but the coffee is great! It was quiet when we arrived so we ate in every night and Giovanni helped us choose the meals which he cooked specially. Every meal was a tasty mix of Greek and Italian with lovely wines and sometimes a little extra surprise! We left feeling almost part of the family and are looking forward to coming back. Enjoy!

Picturesque quiet location close to amazing Aselinos beach.. large comfortable clean rooms… amazing food and excellent hospitality.

Villa Angela a little off the beaten track but an excellent find. Pasquale is a very accommodating host who took me to a medical clinic after being bitten/stung by something in the sea or on the beach. Giovanni Pasquals father is the chef who makes delicious food. Supported ably Olibea. The beach is only a ten minute walk away. The pool at Angela is very quiet. A peaceful and relaxing holiday. A value for money holiday. Talked to some lovely people from around Europe.
