Good place to stay

A night only in Palekastro before heading to the south. A few minutes from beaches and 7km from the palm tree bay. Nice beach of Itanos very close and nobody around! Advices given by our host. Nice breakfast, room clean and quiet.

Family place

Cousy and friendly place. Clean and comfortable suit. Well-groomed inner garden. Place to dry closes at the suit terrace. Very friendly hosts. Not far from the beaches (2 km to the nearest), Vai (palm beach) is 9 km far, reachable by car.

Small friendly hotel

Easy to find this hotel, signposted from the bus stop behind the main church with a beautiful Bougainvillea spilling on the quiet street. As soon as we entered we were met by Maria who insisted we have a coffee and some cake, after our bus trip from Sitea. This set the tone for our four night stay - the friendliness something that large impersonal hotels lack. On leaving we were given a bag full of different biscuits for our bus journey.
The room we had was smallish but spotlessly clean with a terrace to sit outside, which overlooked the hotel's well maintained garden.
Strongly recommended for those seeking a base to explore this area of Crete.

The right place to stay

Kostas and Maria have done a very good job in making you feel welcome at their hotel. The hotel is ideally located 30 seconds walk from the village square but hidden well enough to avoid the noise of the square. everyone working at the hotel is extremely polite and they try to make you feel like home at all times. I have trusted Thalia for myself and many friends visiting that area of Crete and everyone left with the same satisfied comments on cleanness and politeness
