Good stay but a bit rough around the edges

Strangely, there are only couple of reviews here on Tripadvisor but as of this writing, there are 30 reviews with 9.5 score on Agoda where we booked this lodging. We were here for 3 nights and as with everywhere we went in Greece, hospitality and service is top notch. the cleaning staff was especially hospitable, providing whatever we needed. They also provided port pickup and drop off but do arrange ahead of time. While this hotel was on a dirt road, seemingly out in nowhere, it's only one block off the main road and a quick 5-10 minute walk into port/downtown area. The grounds are quintessential Greek feel with cats everywhere. There is free parking for guests with cars but there's only space for about 4 cars so if you're late getting back, you'll have to find street parking a block or so away. We had to do this one time and it didn't seem too difficult to find. They also provided a bottle of complimentary wine.
We stayed at one of the end units with a private pool and an upstairs and downstairs. The units carry over the quintessential Greek feel and the upstairs room balcony has a gorgeous view. While the upstairs room was quite large, the downstairs area was smaller but I guess we did have 3 twin beds to accommodate our family of 5. The kitchen is a kitchenette, so keep that in mind in terms of expectations and convenience as the kitchen area is quite small. The private pool was small but very refreshing after a day out and great way to unwind - and a huge hit with the kids.
The reason for 4 out of 5 was my mention of rough around the edges due to the upstairs sink had the faucet extend way too long that every time you use, water would be splashing out of the basin. The upstairs standalone closet doors don't fully close and the whole thing teetered. The beds were also pretty hard and only a single bedsheet was provided as the "blanket". It was also our second most expensive lodging in our entire Greece trip but it might have also been Milos being just more expensive in general? That did increase our expectations somewhat.

Nice and authentic

Lovely villas, walking distance from the center of Adamas. Traditional in the décoration but comfortable and authentic. No breakfast but it’s easy to find on the main street/harbour. Kids enjoyed the pool. A nice, easy stay in Adamantas, Milos.

Lovely stay!

We have been at Thalassitra the first week of Sept, and we were immediately surprised by the amazing service received even during our booking. The lovely Fay in fact upgraded our room to the maisonette which is spacious and comfortable, with a nice pool to relax at the end of the day. The village is cute and despite being in the centre of Adamantas feels secluded and quiet. Fay and Amelie were adorable and helpful. Highly recommended!
