Matala's best

Great location and a lovely view. The cleaning service was absolutely fantastic. The owner and staff very helpful and nice people. A good quality of rooms and food for a reasonable price if you like simple Greek style. We loved it.
We will be back for sure.

Not my thing
The staff was not really friendly, but the lady at the pool bar was, she was always friendly
The room looked much smaller than the photos, the bathroom always had a foul smell from the drain in the shower, so not okay
My bed covers were also never replaced, I think they just tidied up and that's it, sorry, but I don't call that a quiz woman, maybe it's because I was the only one there, but I don't think that just because someone is traveling that they should be treated less! Breakfast was also not worth 3 stars

Arrogant manager

I advise you to carefully read the hotel manual, since they are very inflexible with respect to small errors...
We did not see that there were fixed days of changing towels and, when we went to order laundry at the reception, we were denied by the manager in a gross way! The manager is very unprofessional, arrogant and prepotent.
In addition, you pay 8€ per day to enjoy air conditioning in the room.
Breakfast has little variety.

Super recommendable hotel.

Nice hotel with a delicious pool area with light snacks and drinks, and just a 10-minute walk from town, beach and countless restaurants and bars. The rooms were really nice with really comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Refrigerator, TV and electric kettle for a cup of coffee.
Breakfast was good with a variety of eggs, various dishes, salads, olives, feta, Greek yogurt, fruit etc. Super friendly people who run the hotel. Here we will come again.
