The food and staff were poor but did the job.

Went on a lads holiday as a group of 5 19 year olds for a week and stayed at hotel triton. I’ll start with the a few positives and say that it did the job. Rooms were decent and the (small) beds were comfortable. The pool area was also nice too where we could spend time during the day and the hotel is less than a 2 minute walk from the Malia strip and 10 mins to the beach. However, I’d say save your money on the all inclusive and go somewhere else for a number of other reasons.
First off, the cleaning staff at the hotel were unfriendly and at times weird. There would be a number of times where a cleaner would let themselves into our room (sometimes without knocking) and would start cleaning while they can see that 3 boys were still sleeping having been out on the Malia strip the night before. When we would ask them to leave or turn them away for this reason, they would react with a series of huffs and tuts as none of them spoke English. There are no “do not disturb” signs so the only way to avoid this is to go to reception and ask for your room not to be cleaned.
We found the hotel buffet to be very unsatisfactory - the food was almost inedible. We decided to eat out almost every night instead so the all inclusive (for food at least) was not worth it. Drinks wise they had 3 alcoholic drinks to offer (on top of knock off brand soft drinks) - local Cretan beer which was ok at best. The white wine was also alright but the red was undrinkable. The bar also closed at 10pm.
Overall, it did the job, albeit not a very good one at all. Value for money wise, especially the way some of the staff acted, it’s hard to justify this being an all inclusive.

Dear Charlie,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We sincerely apologize if any of our staff member made you feel furstrated.
As for the food, we do our best to keep all the guests satisfied; however, we are very sad we didn't achive that with you.
Finally, the hotel gives a detailed description to all the local tour operators of what the AI includes. If the information has not been passed correctly to you then it is not the hotel's fault.
We would love the opportunity to provide you with a better experience next time.
Have a nice summer!
Best regards,
Hotel Manager

Save your money.

Great location but that's it.
Tired rooms, bed linen only got changed after we asked and even then they checked to make sure we had been there at least a week. You are charged to use the room safe in wardrobe or if you want to use A/C, although you can manually switch it on if you lift up the front cover of fan wall unit.
The is only one bar at the very rear of the grounds selling stale larger, very poor quality soda drinks and home made raki in dodgy bottles. The food was awful, who has chips & sweetcorn for breakfast? You can only have the instant coffee or a hot drink at breakfast time or between 1500-1700hrs!!
The only snack available a stale croissant (see video) between 1500-1700hrs.
No fresh drinking water readily available except at meal times.
The larger lady in dinner hall was lovely but the other one behind the food counter looked very sour.
Dinner room staff plated up their food before guest had all eaten, sometimes taking the last few bits left.
We loved Crete but will never recommend this Hotel or its sister hotel " Triton Gardens".

Had a good time, got what I paid for.

We got what we paid for all in all enjoyed the stay only the shower in the bathroom was virtually useless just hanging off and water slowly trickled out. Was all inclusive, food overall was good enough and edible although the dessert selection for dinner left a lot to be desired. Alcohol was beer which was fine, red and white wine, had some white wine which seemed fine...also they had a drink called Reiki or something like that but I never tried it. I was okay with just beer. Basic rooms and as I said the shower was only just about functioning, besides the shower our stay here fitted what we paid and I enjoyed it, had a nice holiday and it's in a nice location not far from strip and the beach.

Triton Hotel, Not the experience we expected!

The room allocated to us was across a busy road, in a not appealing part of the Hotel. Internet WiFi was only available in the reception area and not in our room.
The hotel room was nothing like was expected more like a self-catering apartment that was not well maintained. Very basic. Booked as a married couple but given single beds to sleep on. There is NO hot water for showering late at night or first thing in the morning. No kettle or coffee making facilities in the room we had been given.
We were on an all in inclusive deal purchased from love holidays. Food at this hotel was utterly attrocious for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Breakfast eggs always cooked early, so they turned out dehydrated, Sweetcorn kernels served hot for breakfast. Poor choice and quality of food served with no taste in any of the food for lunch or dinner times, and again, all food was cooked till dead.
There are no allergine signs on any of the food. My wife is Caeliac. Due to this mess in the restaurant we went out for a lot of the dinners to local restaurants.
The allocation for drinks on the all-inclusive deal was Reike, Red Wine, or Beer all seamed watered down, so we started getting a bottle for a local store for the evening.
Coffee was only available at breakfast and in the afternoon, and the time was exact. If you were 5 minutes early or late for it, you had to wait or not be served. Again comparing to previous holidays the was the worst experience I have had.
We can believe love holidays would send us to a poor hotel as this for the money paid.
