Excellent Stay at Guesthouse Maistrali
We have been coming to Guesthouse Maistrali for over ten years.
Our stays there are always absolutely wonderful! The house is located right on the seafront, offering breathtaking views and the relaxing sound of the waves just steps away. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we need for a perfect holiday.
The host Johanna is exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making us feel at home from the very first moment. She always goes above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need, and her warm hospitality truly makes our stay special.
The location is ideal – peaceful and quiet. Waking up to the sunrise over the wonderful Ionian sea is unforgettable, and evenings on the terrace are magical.
We highly recommend Guesthouse Maistrali to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside getaway. We will definitely come back!

The perfect combination of summer holidays
If you are looking for the ultimate refuge for family holidays in Lefkada, the “Maistrali” in Basilica is the answer.
The apartment was spacious, clean and furnished with everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. The kitchen fully equipped, the bathroom functional, and every little wish we were covered immediately and with a smile. Wonderful balcony that calms the soul.
The perfect combination of summer holidays with young children. At Maistrali we could have everything.
Days for relaxation and relaxation: Days without moving by car... with a bath in the sea Ponti that is right next door. Eating in the adjacent taverns or the Basilica by going as a sailing through the pedestrian road that connects Ponti with the Basilica. Either cooking in the kitchen of the apartment that was fully equipped. Relaxation, fun and play in the garden with the owners who are the best hosts!
Days for expedition: Maistrali is also an ideal base for excursions, close to beaches such as Afteli, Ammuso, Gyalos, Porto Katsiki (with the new road), and in picturesque villages such as Sivotas and other mountainous spots with excellent food.

Johanna, with her family, who we now feel our own people... they are not just kind and helpful, they are warm, welcoming, people full of love! they contributed to the maximum to feel the room we rented our cottage and our stay in the Basilica holiday in our village...

Unacceptable hosts
The worst tourist accommodation deal we've ever had. The room the day we arrived was dusty with the excuse how it was in revocation the window.
The toaster had lip and crumbs from previous customers.
Two of the four stoves in the kitchen didn't work at all.
The bathroom, the second day was never sprayed, although the cube was outside the room ready for use by the rest.
The sheets were never changed on the 4 nights with the excuse that it was done
"probably" some mistake with the cleaner.
And the cherry on the cake... instead of the hotel owner apologizing and apologizing, she started screaming and indicated us to leave the room at 8:00 p.m., when we called her to complain about the change of sheets. Noted that in response to our complaints, the lady told us that we probably did not get along well as a couple and that she regrets my partner being with such a woman, since I gave more importance to the benefits we did not have.
The room was prepaid and for 4 nights , 1 month before we visited the hotel and of course we left after this parody , even receiving gifts as the lady said on one night we would not stay.
Of course no proof of our stay was ever given.
In my opinion, such people are prohibited from holding the title of hotelier - businessman.

The family that will greet you is awesome
This is the fourth year we have been in this hotel and in Vasiliki.I was with my friends and family.The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are made with love.Johana and her family taught us a bit of Greek last year.To get to the beach you just have to cross the road.Really great service

Don’t trust pictures you see on the internet about this property. To see the ocean you have to be on the roof .. !!
Don’t let pictures fool you as they fooled us. To see the ocean you have to cross the busy road. We booked first floor with a view … all we could see was dumped old beach chairs and garbage. Dirty floors.arrived late and was no lights we had to use our iPhone to see where we were stepping. Climbed 20 stairs with no help. Be aware !! Terrible!!
