Wonderful family
Another fantastic stay at Evans and Alykes. Evans and Papa John are the most amazing hosts. You are greeted like family from the minute you arrive and one of the best Greek salads at lunch at the bar. Can't wait to come back.

Excellent stay. Lovely family.
We have just returned from yet another lovely week at Evans Studios.
We have been many times, and consider Evans and Papa John as not only hosts, but great friends. For the first time we were able to meet Laura, and as suspected she is a lovely lady.
A previous post mentioned arguments in the family. I can honestly say we saw no evidence of this, but I would understand that as you reach the end of a long summer with the long days and no doubt some awkward guests then tensions may surface.
If I did have any issues I feel they would be better addressed at the time.
I would not hide behind a pseudonym on a TripAdvisor post.
Yes, the rooms could do with an update. They are not 5 Star. But you are not paying 5 Star prices. They are basic, comfortable and serviceable.
The pool area is tidy and clean, as are the pool toilets.
You go to Evans Studios for the hospitality which is unmatched.
Do not be put off by people who are afraid to put their real name to their complaints.

Lovely, lovely people
A lovely, small set of apartments on the outskirts of Alykes. Basic accommodation that is perfect for a simple and enjoyable holiday. Lovely pool/bar area with plenty of sunbeds. The best part of this holiday was the friendly atmosphere and kindness of our hosts - lovely, lovely people who went out of their way to help us. Planning to return next year.

Awful experience - avoid
Having been a regular at Evans Studios, I have had to write this review anonymously to avoid any problems. Unfortunately I will not be returning and it is so sad.
The latest reviews about this place are glossing over the truth about Evans Studios and I wonder how many are actually true!!
The location is quiet and a good walk into the resort of Alykes. It maybe unsuitable for some given the poor route into centre and sight hill in heat. All said it was the hospitality that made up for it. Sadly this was not my experience this time.
Firstly, the standard of accommodation is now very poor and in need of major upgrade/refurbishment. The rooms are in poor state of repair from decor to fixtures and fittings. No investment. The outside toilet area is disgusting. The gardens really need to be tidied up as the whole place is scruffy at best.
What is of real concern is the constant family arguments between Evans and his father & mother at all times of day and night. This ruined my time there.
The Booking.com and Google reviews and photos are all dated. Avoid!

Here is Evans speaking. First of all, i am really sorry that you had a bad time to our studios. This is your opinion and i totally accept it. On the other hand , you can easily understand that in a block of 6 studios and based on the date you published the review , of course you know that we know who you are. This has nothing to do with my respond but for me is at least cowardly to make such a review unanimously after spending times here with us. What is even more cowardly is that you didn’t say all that in front of of me and my family. In any way, everyone has its own personality and carries on with that either it is good or bad. Secondly, like i saw in an other post , everyone during a long demanding hot season in Greece can cross sometimes the line and argue the staff or his family. Thirdly, have you ever stayed in an accommodation for 50 euros per night providing the facilities that we do? Last but the most disappointing one that got me really upset was that you memtioned that the reviews are fake! Are also the others after yours fake for 2025??You should be really ashamed for what you wrote down and my family and i we are really happy for your decision not coming back. Reciprocal feelings
P.S. I really apologize that i have my family now a wife and a baby girl waiting for me at home at logical time and i am not playing music or offering shots till 3 am in the morning !
P.S.2 it must have been so difficult for you having all that ferocity inside you for our property and our family that you couldn’t wait for an opportunity . Probably you got envious too for liking other guests more than you

Evans were you will be spoiled and well looked after.
We have stayed at this wonderful, warm friendly studios before. This time we was at Oscar's,family connection. But we called in and stayed for a afternoon by their lovely pool, Laura,Yannis and Evans treat you like family. Food is lovely, it is a small place but nothing is small about their hospitality. We know the rooms are wonderful,clean and comfortable. The Greek families are hard working,very friendly,make your holiday special. Alykes is great place for walking,the beaches and the Taverna's. We love it ❤️
