GREAT HOTEL a holiday is what you make it!

Had an AMAZING 11 nights here beginning of August 2026, I was very apprehensive after reading negative reviews online, but if you are happy with 3/4 star then this hotel is great! If you want higher end 4/5 star then go book a 5 star.
We arrived to very friendly staff at reception who gave us a map to our room, we booked a 2 bedroom apartment and so glad we did! Room was basic but clean! Double balcony and the views were worth every penny! Incredible view of the main pool and mountains. Very spacious apartment with a double room large double wardrobe, and another room with two single beds, highly recommend upgrading if you have children to this room as its bigger. Bathroom is basic nothing fancy, bath shower, sink, and toilet just what you need to get ready and be out all day.
The hotel has 3 pools, one chill out pool more for adults by snack bar, one waterpark and the main pool which has all the entertainment and music at.
Entertainment is great by the main pool, staff go around selling kids Tshirts...all the kids want one! €20 they print their names on too quite cool, they get presented on stage with their tshirt on the evenings. Entertainment staff all speak good English, they are part of Goodtime entertainment NOT club jumbo which are a french animation team which are also in the hotel but only for the french, you don't notice though as good time team included everyone! Entertainment on night is English, good abba tribute and paw patrol live show. Only downfall is not enough seats by the bar for everyone, people sit on sunbeds all night with drinks. So go early to get a table with chairs.
Food was actually the best we've ever had at all inclusive! No que at breakfast for seats if you go around 8.30am its easy to get a table, staff work hard to keep it very clean. Great options, everything and anything, beans/sausage/bacon breads, eggs, chips, Cereals, Croissants, pancakes, the honey is a must try!! Its very delicious there!
Lunch is in the main restaurant or snack bar, snack bar is burgers, chips, hotdogs, fish fingers, nuggets, salad, toasties, wraps, pretty much same everyday but still enjoyable. Ice cream bar and doughnuts are incredible!
Evening meals are different every night, im vegetarian and enjoyed great vegetarian options while there, stuffed peppers, and these vegtable onion bahji type balls were my favourite. For meat eaters theres a lot of choice, chicken/pork/fish/beef, rice, pasta, spaghetti bol, pizza, chips, salad, cheeses, lots of choice.
Drinks are usual all inclusive type, soft drinks by machines, not branded but ok, cocktails quite a few options the usual sex on the beach, tequila sunrise, tropicanna etc staff will make you one off the menu if you ask for something different , local beer, whiskeys, gin etc. The roof top bar serve in glasses and great views.
We usually go to all inclusive 3 stars in spain, majorca, and cyprotel hotel is far better than anywhere we've been before. A holiday is what you make it, definitely book excursions through the hotel lady shes lovely and will help you, I recommend the boat trips! Amazing! The land train stops outside the hotel in morning its kallithea trip which is great for visiting the village and church (more for history) and evenings its the faliraki train to the bars/restaurants.
Overall the rooms are basic but for sleeping in, they are very clean and maids in daily. Everything else is fantastic and I would book again definitely, especially if you have kids in your party, its very safe and has everything you need. Also shop on sight sells everything.
Theres a few bars within walking distance i highly recommend alabama bar and Mike's bar for sports and great food.
Like I said, if you want decent 3/4 star, its great and so much to do there, 11 nights was much needed and wish I booked 14! Especially if you want to see and do everything in rhodes.
If you want 5 star with very modern rooms, book 5 star. Rhodes is not as advanced as England, the wifi isn't great on the whole island, and the decor is outdated everywhere, its an exotic island and a poorer country than England, but still absolutely beautiful and clean. This is a very honest review from a working couple with two children, 6 years and 12. We work hard all year to save for a vacation and this was definitely worth it!

Not as good as it looks

Our first experience at cyprotel was when they gave us the keys to the room, we got to the room and it was a box with no windows or balcony with a curtain dividing the one room, we went back reception and complained as I booked a family room, they changed the room or should I say down graded us to another room with a double bed and bunk beds , we have teenagers so this wasn’t ideal. The entertainment is all based on the French as they are investing money in to the hotel, they actually have their own reception and entertainment team with different wristbands and better standard of rooms,I found the entertainers were quite rude and had no time for the English , the food was good in the hotel and we always found something to have , drinks on the other hand are just your cheap cocktails so I ended up buying from the supermarket, the night entertainment was standard and the problem is there isn’t enough tables and chairs and you are expected to sit on concrete steps and it is away from any bars so access to get a drink isn’t easy which is done on purpose to stop you getting up.if I only spent a couple of thousand on this holiday I wouldn’t be that bothered but it cost me thru @loveholidays over £6000 and the standard was no where near this. Nothing to do with the hotel but eating out is very expensive compared to Cyprus which is much better value.also be prepared for long walks from this hotel to faliraki centre and the beach, remember they also charge £100 city tax when you turn up.

Highly Recommend for Allergy Sufferers

Stayed at the Cyprotel Faliraki in August 2026. My family has challenges with travel due to a very highly peanut allergic son. The hotel overall was a very pleasant stay but I have given five stars on the basis of the excellent care taken by the kitchen staff and chef to make sure our son was safe and looked after.

Not a 4 star by any stretch!

Firstly, anyone reviewing that is calling out animation team by name is a false review. Theres no way so many can know anyone that works there by name. The animation team, and the “entertainment” was Medicare at best. 90% of the catering and serving staff are phillipino not Greek, and were miserable.
The room was barely a 2 star. The air con was not strong enough, the bathroom floor was very slippery, the toilet seat was broken, a shower curtain from the 80s and the water never got very hot.
Only one pillow per person and they were awful. If you wanted a blanket they were like horse blankets from 1992. We didn’t get ants, and the cleaning of the room was done.
The pools were fine, except the main pool was far too crowded and no loungers left past 8am. The quiet pool was not quiet, but you had more chance of getting a sunbed there.
The water! 3 small bottles given on day one were meant to be refilled by us, but there was only 2 points to refill and one being the restaurant that wasn’t open beyond the actual restaurant opening times, the other at the snack bar (be prepared to queue)
The food was ok if you are ok with eating anything, the snack bar served some really dubious rubbish tbh but if you eat chips only you’re fine. The main restaurant was so busy at times there were no tables free. Don’t expect desserts at dinner, a couple of cakes.
The only bar that served cocktails during the day was the main pool bar which is like trying to fight for a space. If you are still in pool when you’ve got a drink be prepared for some kid to jump in next to you and drown the drink in pool water. The wine and beer was served at another bar 20 metres away…why? Just put them together.
The rooftop bar was hideous, no air con, looked like a basic church hall with horrible curtains.
Stairs everywhere, we got a second storey room which is 4 flights of stairs and no lift, was a struggle to get suitcases up and a trek to and from the room in the heat, if you’ve got bad knees or back like me.
Absolutely not a 4 star.

Dear Danielle,
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations.
We are pleased that you found the pools, room cleaning and some aspects of the food acceptable, but we understand that these positives were outweighed by your concerns regarding the room, facilities, queues and overall atmosphere.
Regarding our animation team, we would respectfully disagree with your suggestion that reviews mentioning individual team members are therefore false. Our animation teams spend their days interacting directly with guests through activities, children's clubs and evening entertainment, so it is perfectly natural for guests to remember and mention them by name after their stay and in fact this is a large part of their job. We are proud that many of our guests form genuine connections with our teams.
We also took note of your comments regarding the rooms and the challenges presented by the layout of the resort. We understand that the hillside setting and number of stairs can be difficult for guests with mobility concerns, and we always recommend that guests with specific mobility requirements contact us before arrival so that we can discuss the most suitable accommodation options. All hotel descriptions online clearly map the layout and location of the hotel so we assume that guests have conducted their research prior to booking with us.
With regard to the pools, we understand the frustration surrounding sunbed availability during the busiest periods. We have several pool areas, including the quieter pool and waterpark area, where availability can be easier, but we recognise that this remains an area where guest behaviour and demand can create challenges.
Regarding the food, we would respectfully disagree with some of the comments made in the review. Our food offering is considerably more extensive than suggested.
We operate a bi-weekly menu with around 500 different variations of hot, cold and dessert items, providing considerable variety throughout a two-week stay. Our buffet includes pork, chicken, turkey, duck, lamb and beef, as well as salmon, sardines, sea bass, saithe, cod, swordfish, calamari, mussels, octopus and prawns. We also offer sushi dishes and freshly prepared pizzas cooked live every evening.
The suggestion that guests should not expect desserts at dinner is also not representative of our offering. We have more than 40 different desserts available across our menus.
Our snack bar is equally varied. In addition to the usual burgers, sausages, fries and gyros, guests can enjoy cold wraps and sandwiches, with toasters available so they can prepare their own toasted sandwiches. There are also various other snacks, ice cream and our popular Greek doughnuts (loukoumades).
We fully appreciate that individual tastes differ, but we feel it is important to clarify the actual range of food available, as some of the statements in this review do not accurately reflect our current offering.
Regarding the bars, we would also like to clarify the reason for having a separate Wine & Beer Bar. This venue was specifically introduced as an additional adults-only area, giving guests who simply wanted a beer or a glass of wine the option to enjoy their drink away from the busier pool bar. It also means that guests who do not wish to queue alongside families and those ordering cocktails have an alternative, more relaxed option and it is located quite literally 10 m away from the Pool Bar.
Regarding the rooftop bar, we are sorry that its appearance and atmosphere did not meet your expectations. We are, however, pleased to share that we will also be renovating our main bar, alongside the refurbishment of 42 rooms this winter.
These improvements form part of our ongoing investment in the hotel, and we look forward to offering our guests an enhanced experience in the future.
We take all feedback seriously, even when opinions differ, and your comments have already been shared with the relevant departments.
Thank you again for choosing Cyprotel and for providing us with your perspective. We wish you safe travels in the future.
Kind regards,
The Cyprotel Faliraki Team

Ok, could be a lot better

So having read the reviews and done a lot of research we decided to go for this hotel. Now normally we always go for a Tui Blue but thought we would break the mould and try this hotel out seeming as it had mostly good reviews. First the rooms, we knew they were going to be very basic from the reviews and they are, they definitely need to be refurbished, everything worked ok but everytime we went to the reception people seemed to be complaining about the rooms, a family we met said they had nothing but trouble with their room.
Pools - the pools are very good, there are three pools the main one, water slides and a quieter one. The main pool is good but good luck getting a sun bed unless you’re up really early. I woke up at 7.30am to get a bed and they were all gone. For the slides and other one it was easier to get a sun bed.
Food - the food is ok I would say a 3/5 standard all inclusive. There was always a big line for pancakes at breakfast but the area is nice.
Entertainment- 4/5 there is always something going on by the main pool and in the evening, again the entertainment area is vey dated and uncomfortable.
Overall I would give this hotel a 3/5, for us it was ok, now when spending nearly £3000 for a family of 4 I would want more than ok. Would we come again no, would we recommend probably not as we have been to better places, personally you can’t beat a Tui Blue.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest review following your stay with us.
We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our three pools, including the waterpark, and that you appreciated the range of entertainment available throughout the day and evening.
We completely understand your comments regarding the condition of some of the rooms. Until now, we have unfortunately been unable to share this information publicly, but we are extremely happy to announce that over the course of this winter, 42 rooms will be fully refurbished, followed by a further 50 rooms the following winter. This is an important step in our ongoing investment in the hotel, and we hope these improvements will address some of the concerns raised by our guests.
We also take note of your comments regarding the sunbed situation, food selection and the evening entertainment area. Your feedback helps us identify where further improvements can be made.
Although we are disappointed that your overall experience was only a 3/5, we genuinely appreciate your balanced comments and the fact that you recognised the strengths of our pools and entertainment.
We hope that, should you ever consider returning to Rhodes, you might give Cyprotel another opportunity to experience the improvements we are making.
Thank you again for choosing us and for sharing your feedback.
Warm regards,
The Cyprotel Faliraki Team
