Outstanding from room to food and friendly staff..

This place is absolutely a must visit the room is quaint and clean the best smelling sheets in all of Crete. The restaurant downstairs the owner and chef Popi and her son Costa absolutely amazing and the food is too die for! Freshly made bread everyday and the pita for breakfast amazing. All of the food and atmosphere here was exceptional I will be back! This is a must visit place!

Beautiful discovery thanks to booking

We were looking for a hotel in the sfakia area and discovered this property.
Located in the village of anopoli, this tavern has rooms that are perfectly correct in size and comfort.
Moreover, the meals taken atla taverne were delicious and very hearty for more than affordable prices.
Super friendly and very helpful staff.
Located in a small square, we enjoyed a little freshness in the evening.
The road to anopoli is very winding but offers magnificent views.
Thank you to all the staff for their kindness.

clean quiet taverna on the ground floor

clean, quiet, relatively small room with comfortable bathroom.
I did not manage to run the TV despite all the help from the management.
helpful, nobles gave me enough information for a short trip to the area.
very basic also on the ground floor operates the tavern of the family,where in addition to tavern there are several local products for sale.
also served me with their professional fridge where they stored 3 bags of cheeses I had already bought and did not dance in the fridge of the room.

Authentic delicious Cretan food at its best!

The best restaurant we have eaten in all of Crete! Amazing, unique and delicious local food from a lovely family. The lamb chops were superb , incredible homemade sausages, heavenly boureki ( recommend for vegetarians too!) , everything we ordered was excellent and you will be so well taken care of ! We also were treated to a wonderful homemade karidopita and ice cream at the end of our meal. If you want to eat proper local food go to Platanos tavern you will not be dissapointed !! Hopefully see you again guys !

Such an amazing food, freshly cooked with love and care. Thank you Kostas and Popi!! Friendly people who love their traditions and promote the local beauties! The smells from the kitchen travel you to magical places! Strongly recommend!!
