Nice apartment
Nice apartments that include: hall - living room – kitchen, 2 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom between bedrooms. A lot of space for 3-4 people (more than 70 sq.meters). Each bedroom has a balcony. Apartments has all equipment for living at vacations. Comfortable for families with a child.
Food: villa have all you need for cooking, but if you don`t want to do it, there is nice taverna AMMOS at the 100m of the villa. You can have food here all days from 9-10am to 10-11pm. As for me, best tavernas at Frangokastello is:
1.Vatalos
2.Oasis
3.Ammos.
The best food in Crete was in «Vrisi» in Plakias.
Car parking on a site. Car a must ! Nearest village Frangokastello with 2 supermarkets and some tavernas are 2km to the west.
Small supermarket INKA at Frangokastello have all that you need for every day. But if you need somthing more, you must drive to Chania, Rethimnon or Heraklion. All big stores like Carrefour are situated at the north part of Crete. Some middle-sized supermarkets is in Plakias.
We has a little troubles with internet for few days, but the host solve this problem in very short time.
The best thing in Notos is the beach. The water at the sea is crystal and transparent. Apartment situated close to the coast and have 2 ways to the beach:
Closest (200m) is descent and not suitable for families with child and eldery people.
Normal stairs is about 500 meters from Notos.
Nearest beach is perfect, also good beach is under the Frangokstello castle, it`s about 1.5km to the west from apartment.
Host Athina is very friendly and she helps us very well with all problems and questions that we have at the time of staying.

Disappointing experience – lack of professionalism and humanity|Disappointing Experience – A Lack of Professionalism and Compassi
We stayed at NOTOS VILLAS two years ago and unfortunately our experience was disappointing.
From the first moment we found that the living room of the apartment did not have air conditioning. On the very hot summer days this made our stay extremely unpleasant, as it was almost impossible to sit in the place.
However, the main reason I decided to write this review now is the behavior of the owner about a leather doll that our little daughter forgot there. She had informed us that she had found it the day we left. For two years we've been trying to take it back.
Last year we passed the area again solely to pick it up, but she told us that she had a problem with her cell phone and that's why we couldn't communicate. This year I texted her on Viber to let her know that we would be in the area again. The message was read and a little later I found out that he had blocked me.
Finally, the owner of the hotel where we stayed this year contacted her by phone on our behalf. According to what he told us, the answer he received was that the dick had been thrown because it had been two years and "what did it".
I consider this behavior completely unprofessional and, above all, inhumane. I had explained to her that it was the favorite puppet of a little child, who still today is looking for it and cries at night because he is missing. Instead of showing some understanding and helping us get it back, he chose to ignore every communication effort.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was very negative and I would not choose this property again or recommend it to others.

Last year, we visited the area again specifically to collect it, but we were told there had been a problem with her phone, which was why we couldn't reach her. This year, I sent her a message on Viber to let her know we would be in the area again. She read the message and then blocked me.
Eventually, the owner of the hotel where we are staying this year called her on our behalf. According to what she told us, the response was that the stuffed toy had been thrown away because two years had passed and, in her words, "what was she supposed to do with it?"
I find this behavior not only highly unprofessional but also lacking basic compassion. I had explained that this was our little daughter's favorite stuffed toy and that she still misses it and even cries at night because of it. Instead of showing a little understanding and helping us recover something so important to a child, she chose to ignore every attempt to resolve the situation.
Because of both the uncomfortable accommodation and the way this situation was handled, I cannot recommend NOTOS VILLAS and would definitely not stay there again.

Peace and Tranquility
We have just had the most wonderful 21 night break here at Notos Villas. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was perfect. The 3 villas are located near to Frangokastello in a beautiful peaceful location just 5 minutes walk to the beach (although the steep climb to the beach is a little challenging and may be difficult if you are not fully mobile). However the main parts of the beautiful beach and crystal clear waters are easier to get to to from nearer the fort. But the villa itself was perfect. Spacious, exceptionally clean, and with all the equipment you need (oven, washing machine, plenty hot water). Both bedrooms have great air-conditioning and there are 3 terraces to choose from. Athina (owner) is a great person and made us feel really welcome. She even brought us olive oil from the trees next to the villa, home distilled Raki from her own grapes, and some freshly baked cookies for our flight home. Thank you! Wonderful! The villas are cleaned through every 3 days including all bedding and towels and a big plus was the excellent free wifi as I needed to catch up on a bit of work whilst I was away. Overall I highly recommend Notos Villas. You'll have a great house in a great location within easy travelling distance of Frangokastello, Chora Sfakion, Plakias and the wonderful unspoilt countryside and coast of South Crete.

Excellent accommodation and service
We have visited Notos Villas in May 2015. From the beginni g the communication with Athina (the owner) has been excellent. Upon arrival, everything has been prepared exactly as we wanted, with even a small welcome surprise. The rooms were clean and very nice. Combined with the proximity of a very nice sandy beach and two tavernas this is an absolutely fabulous accommodation. Athina was very helpful in case we needed anything and even arranged special dinner for us in her family-owned tavern (one if the best Stifado I have eaten so far). We would definitely recommend!

Unforgettable experience
Our family including father,mother and a teenager really enjoyed our stay here.Villa is clean and has modern equipment.Views from there are incredible : nice garden,sea and montains also!This place is very good choice for people who want to have a holiday in a retired place.Frangokastello is quite and fine village with a lot of beautiful restaurants with authentic Cretan food.Athina is very friendly and helpful host.The only drawback for us was the straight way to the sea,because we had to come down a big hill to reach it.But actually we got used to it very soon.
