My favorite place in Crete

My favorite place in Crete. Been in May 2025 and Feb 2026.
Acceptable prices for rooms, food and the 4x4 ride to the start of the hike or winter ascent of Pachnes 2453m
Good communication, clean rooms and good intentions and you can tell!
Hope to be able to go there again one day.

True luxury, in a remote setting.

The traditional and authentic Anopoli Tavern - which is like going back in time - now has a newly-built complex of luxury rooms next door. The landscaping was not complete when we were there, but the rooms were, and they offer a level of modern luxury in complete contrast to the tavern itself - so you get the best of both worlds.

Wonderful family hotel in the mountains

This is a fantastic location and the hotel is a wonderful place to stay. We had one of the new rooms overlooking the mountains - stunning. All newly fitted and very comfortable. The family who run the place and just so welcoming and the food is excellent. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

Holiday total relaxation

Fantastic place, great family, helpful, friendly - you eat great and everything at kilometer 0.
You sleep cool in the summer without having to turn on air conditioners even if there are .
We return from 9 years and would always return -
