A great place to stay for a short visit.

Really pleased with our four day visit to Engineer House, Gibraltar. Communication was easy with Leanne, the host. A great location right in the centre of Gibraltar with easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants at Great Casement Square. The room was spotlessly clean with a microwave, toaster, crockery, cutlery, kettle, tea / coffee, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.
A bit noisy during the day but you’d expect that with a city centre location.
Excellent value.

Perfect

This apartment is perfect for everything anyone could need. Would recommend it to any one who is visiting all you need is in walking distance including shops and bars and restaurants handy with washing macine and decent sized fridge freezer

Nothing like the pictures

So we could check in from 4pm. From 4pm. We landed so early and were at room by 10.30 but the key was not in the door as is the procedure when room is ready. Ok we thought it’s not ready fair enough, so we wandered around Gibraltar for 5 hours already shattered and returned at 3.30pm hoping it would be ready.
Still no key in door. Waited on stairs a bit longer then rang the owners or whoever it is who runs it, no answer, great!
Went upstairs where another room had its door open so we knocked on her door. She came down investigated and made a few calls. Cut a long story short the room was ready yesterday!! And the maid/cleaner had left the key in some random cupboard! So we could have been in room just over 5 hours ago!
Never had our call returned no apologies or anything from owners!
Rubbish!
The room is nothing like the pictures advertised, theres no air conditioning just a pointless ceiling fan and another stand up fan that helps a bit.
We could open the window? No because constant street noise of scooters, locals shouting, building work. Scaffolders you name it!
One day there was some guy on a ladder drilling into the outside wall inches from our window at 9am and nearly gave me a bloody heart attack!
So windows shut, red hot,hardly any sleep all week, shattered all week.
From the minute we arrived it’s been awful!
The room itself generally not that bad and close to centre.

Central and Helpful Staff

We could only stay a night just before the Covid19 Spanish State of Emergency. Even though many Gibraltar sites closed, we enjoyed the central location for a long walk around the city and up to the Nature Reserve. Our contact via electronic means with our host was easy and very helpful in knowing what was open, where we could get food. The room itself was very nicely efficient, with simple kitchenette with water kettle, microwave, and completed with coffee, teas, bread rolls, jam. We hope to return to stay longer.

Nice clean place

My wife and I stayed for three nights and found it to be very clean & comfortable. It has everything needed for a comfortable short stay.
It is near enough to the Main Street & far enough away to prevent the noise.
I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
