Very dated hotel
The welcome on Monday 11 August was not very friendly. The lady was rather curt and pretended to barely understand us (school German but it wasn't that difficult).
The hotel is really in need of renewal or you have to like very old-fashioned and old-fashioned. At first glance it seemed quite clean but everywhere appeared to be hanging cobwebs (also on public stairs and toilets) and clearly a lot of overdue maintenance. In the stairwell there was a strange bad smell.
We had 2 x a 2 pers room and an apartment. The apartment consists of all kinds of "cubicles" where the "living room" in the photo seems fairly large but in real life super small. We did not use the fold-out bed (2 children in 1 bed done) because when folding out the "bugs" flew everywhere.
We wanted to use sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and you can let them know in advance then they turn it on. Sauna was the only thing that worked. Steam room didn't work, the lady told me right away, and Jacuzzi stayed cold.
Anyway, it was for 1 night so you may get over it but it's a shame.
The lady remained rather "nasty" even when inquiring steam bath she said she did not understand us. We asked about dinner in the restaurant with them but that was not possible. When we came back from somewhere else to eat, the restaurant appeared to be in use.
Breakfast is very good, absolutely nothing to criticize and there the lady and gentleman were very friendly.
When I got home my husband suddenly said..........when I paid happened.....I said paid? I'd have paid right away at Booking. He had not understood this and that is how we had to approach the hotel again. Got a quick response that the money was being refunded and that happened the day after. Strange that the payment system does not recognize duplicate payments.

Nice hotel
We enjoyed our stay at hotel Berghof. Rooms are big and clean.Swimming pool not so big but it's enough. We eat 1 night at the hotel and it was nice..The service in hotel was very nice and if you have any question they help you immediately...

Kurzer Wochenendurlaub
Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Ecke am Rande des Sauerlandes.
Wir erlebten hier in etwa den Charme der 90er Jahre.
Wir wurden im familiär geführten Hotel freundlich empfangen und jeder Wunsch wurde bestmöglich erfüllt.
Der "Chef des Hauses" ist auch der Koch und er gibt hier wirklich sein Bestes. Das Abendbrot im Rahmen der HP war sehr lecker und das Frühstücksbüffet bot alle gewohnten Sachen, hier gibt's nix zu zu beanstanden.
Es wird aber langsam Zeit, dass hier mal kräftig investiert wird, um einen rapiden Abfall der Zimmer und öffentlichen Bereiche zu verhindern. Hoffentlich lassen die notwendigen Investitionen nicht mehr zu lange auf sich warten und/oder werden gar durch Corona verhindert.
Das kostenlose WLAN ist vorhanden, aber die Qualität ist eher ganz schlecht.

Best wel zeer teleurstellend. Erg gehorig en zéér gedateerd. Kamer 203 is boven het zwembad en eigenlijk niet verhuurbaar Zo veel herrie. WiFi is er nauwelijks op de kamers. Ook valt op dat het geheel slecht schoongemaakt wordt.

Tolles Hotel
Winterurlaub Ende Februar 2019 mit der Familie; 3 Generationen.
Perfekt!!! Ideal gelegen zum Wandern oder Skifahren. Nettes-freundliches Personal, das fast alle Wünsche zu erfüllt, sogar extra Wünsche, wie für mich. (heiße Zitrone). Ein Familienfreundliches Hotel!
Vom tollen, abwechslungsreichem Essen schwärmen wir heute noch. Die Zimmer waren ordentlich und sauber. Das schöne, warme Schwimmbad haben wir täglich nach unseren Skitouren nutzen können.
Von unserem Balkon( zur Straße) hatten wir einen schönen Ausblick auf Usseln.
Ich kann dieses Hotel sehr gern weiter empfehlen!
