Nice cosy hotel in the city center

Nice cosy hotel in the city center.
Close to the shops and restaurants.
Very nice and helpfull staff. Great service.
Food in the restaurant is really good.
Old building, but modern rooms.

There will be no second time / not recommended

From the first impression you are impressed by the helpfulness and when you come to the changed room because you did not say before that you are severely disabled, so you notice with the room, which is on the ground floor called "Thomas", that there are only shelves, but not even a closet and the door into the room drags in on the floor, as does the door to the toilet! Breakfast is very simple but it is fresh. I would like to emphasize the friendliness of Piri, who goes to great trouble with everything in the morning.
On the first evening we ate at the hotel, which also did not go optimally! At least an hour Waiting time had to be withstood, but the nice waiter bought a drink of his choice on the house / also for that afterwards my thanks!

Avoid this establishment

Yes, avoid a hotel where the landlord scolds you if you don't immediately understand his naming of the rooms.
Yes, avoid a hotel where the innkeeper allows himself to make pathetic anti-Semitic remarks.

just came here for a meal

We were looking for somewhere in the town that catered for vegetarians and found this little place almost by accident. The owner is a great character and full of fun. He also speaks some English which was very helpful. The wine comes in half litre carafes so you are not shown the bottle, but it is quite reasonably priced and not bad. Some choice of vegetarian food which is quite tasty.

Friendly place to stay

We stayed at La Rustica for 3 nights whilst visiting the Brocken area and found the room to be a good size, fairly basic but very comfortable and cosy with friendly staff. Language was a slight problem but not their fault- we felt bad not being able to speak German! An extra pillow appeared after the first days clean, I had bulked up the 1 pillow with a blanket to make it higher for me, so that was nice.
We ate in the restaurant below 1 night and found the food to be very tasty (pizza), it was very convenient as it was freezing outside and so didn't want to venture out every night especially after being out in the cold all day.
It's a good price for such a central location and we'd stay here if visiting again.
