A great hotel to have a nice rest before long walks around the city. Hotel «Am Solebad» is located in Werne. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Solebad Werne, Kapuziner-Kloster and Friedrich-Ebert Park..Specially for tourists who travel by car, there’s a parking zone.

Keeping up standards!
Still very good and great value for money. Breakfast is good continental breakfast.
Excellent restaurant opposite, don't miss it! Short walk to town centre and they have a little local market on Saturdays.
WiFi was not working this time, so that is a minus point.

Don't come here...
Just wanted to post a long review with all faults, but decided to keep
it simple: DON'T GO, look for another place"!
It seems that they don't want you here. I arrived at 16:30h and the door was locked. A sign on the door said to call a phone number or ring the bell, which I did. The attendee asked what's up and when I said I had a reservation first checked his computer and only then, after many minutes, opened the door. As if the city or Werne would be a hotspot of criminals.
And this was only the start of the bad service story...

Good service and excellent value for money
We didn't book and arrived late. But they still came to open the place. We were shown three rooms to choose from.. Nice that we could choose.
Rooms are nice but nothing fancy. Bathrooms newly renovated and very fresh.
Additional great bonus is free wifi!!
I was not expecting too much of breakfast as it was 5e only. But again it was very positive surprise, selection was good!
We will definitely go back next year again.

Ausstattung altbacken, Service unterirdisch
Angeblich gibt es Parkplätze, tatsächlich muss man sein Auto aber auf einem viel zu engen Hinterhof millimetergenau abstellen. Tut man das nicht, gibt's Mecker.
Mecker gibt's auch, wenn man ankündigt, dass man sich müht, aber ggf durch Stau länger brauchen könnte.
Dagegen soll man aber bitte Verständnis aufbringen. Dafür, dass das Frühstück nur bis acht aufgebaut bleibt, weil die wurst dann wieder zurück in den Kühlschrank muss (mmmh...). Oder dafür, dass der röhrenfernseher leider verlernt hat, was Farben sind. Oder dafür, dass die Batterien in der Fernbedienung leer sind. Oder dafür, dass nur ein Licht im Zimmer funktioniert.
Wenn man das melden möchte, ist aber schon fünf Minuten nach Abreise niemand mehr da. Ist ja auch schon fast zehn. Und morgen gibt's ja früh Frühstück.
Hab ich leider kein Verständnis für. Und gehe nächstes mal lieber da hin, wo man Wert darauf legt, dass sich Gäste nach langer Anreise und anstrengendem Termin am nächsten Tag wohl bei der Übernachtung fühlen. Ist ja schließlich das Kerngeschäft von Hotels, oder?
