A stay of rare quality – Spangenberg Castle as a worthy setting for our wedding ceremony
We were able to spend some wonderful days in the circle of our family at Spangenberg Castle and celebrate our civil wedding there. This house combines historical dignity with genuine warmth – creating exactly the atmosphere you want for such special moments of life.
The service was outstanding in every respect: The hosts are extraordinarily friendly, attentive and at the same time pleasantly reserved. They think along, act forward, keep an eye on every detail in the background and thus give a noticeable calm and reliability – an invaluable value, especially on wedding days.
The accommodation is excellent: stylish, well-kept and of high quality, harmonious to the details. Culinarily, our stay was also accompanied at the highest level – the food was simply great and rounded off the overall picture in a perfect way.
This is how a stay became an event: Spangenberg Castle has made the days of our wedding really special for us. We look back with gratitude and recommend this house with complete conviction.

Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing…
Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!

The building is absolutely amazing, check in is 1600hrs sharp, there is no one available prior to that. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was decent. The grounds were in need of cleaning up (excessive weeds), but overall would go back again.

Cooking class in the castle kitchen

Completed cooking course "Soup" with lots of fun and interesting information and good tips. Thanks to the kitchen team, you guys are doing great!
Meet nice people while cooking and reminisce about eating your own very delicious creations.
We are already looking forward to the next course.
