Great school

A really nice guesthouse; the "headmaster" personally takes care of everything. In the evenings, he cooked a delicious meal for all 7 guests (goulash, salad buffet, and desserts).

Great accommodation, with connection

incredible host, nothing is lacking. Rich breakfast and the master at the barbecue works safely and reliably. Homemade salad buffet. Ideal for cycling travelers, good beds, relaxed atmosphere

Cyclist paradise

We booked two single rooms for an overnight stay on our bike tour. We had already contacted Mr Jessen beforehand because I knew that there were no restaurants in Schnackenburg. A simple but good answer - no one has ever starved or died of thirst here.
On the day of arrival, I called to ask what time it was - no problem at 6 p.m. the grill was on.
We arrived completely soaked at 5:30 p.m. We moved into simple but clean rooms and immediately felt welcome. The barbecue evening was great, everyone was very relaxed, the food was good and plentiful.
The self-service fridges have more beer than a thirsty horde of cyclists can drink. Prices are extremely fair.
Breakfast is also very good.
All in all, an ideal hot spot for cyclists, where you quickly feel at home and really get a lot for your money. Absolutely impressive what Mr Jessen pulled off there as a one-man show!

Wohlfühlschule

Wandernd auf dem Grünen Band in Schnackenburg ankommend ein sehr netter Empfang. Und gleich der Hinweis auf das Abendessen: hier oder ca. 20km entfernt... Die alte Schule ist eher ein Seminarhaus. Zimmer relativ spartanisch-praktisch eingerichtet, ebenso das Bad. Es passt!
Ein tolles selbstgerechtes Abendessen, Selbstbedienung der Getränke aus dem Kühlschrank, Süßigkeiten für die Unterzuckerten... Reichhaltiges Frühstück!
Schnackenburg selber ist im Oktober leider ein toter Ort, einige schön renovierte Häuser, der Rest architektonischer Müll!

Overnatning

Meget charmerende sted. Fantastisk beliggenhed ved den gamle DDR grænse ved Elben. Vi sejlede over med hyggelig færge. Betjening mad og service helt i top. Kan virkelig anbefales. Byen er meget hyggelig at gå rundt i.
