A magical "vibe" and hospitality you can't buy
Regarding the guest premises, I can only speak for the particular corner room our family stayed in: the room and bathroom were admittedly very simple, and there was a slightly damp scent—something that could certainly use some attention. As someone who usually dreams of a bathtub, I noticed the simple shower, but found so much beauty in the other details, like the classic 'Stuckleisten' (crown moldings) in the bedrooms or the fact that you can still fully open the windows to let in the fresh forest air.
What truly impressed us was the attention to detail for their four-legged guest: knowing they were arriving with a tiny dog, the hotel provided a beautiful water bowl and even a roll of waste bags with funny bone stamps on them. That is true service!
The breakfast room leads into a winter garden, giving off a timeless, elegant late 80s/early 90s glam. We also loved the marvelous stone room behind the lobby with its beautiful wooden bar and a jukebox (redone to play CDs) that feels like the genuine core of the 60s era it was built, much like the stained glass walls in the hallway.
The lady who runs the hotel truly lives for it. She makes fresh eggs herself—whichever way you like—and her presence makes you feel like you’re visiting family. Having spent 10 years working in First Class for a major airline and staying in many high-end hotels worldwide, I have seen a lot of luxury—but the Alfa Hotel offers something much rarer: a true 'home away from home' feeling. It’s that deep, personal touch and honest hospitality that you simply cannot buy.
I also fell in love with the distinguished tea and coffee cups; they are a 'blast from the past' with their heavy richness and beautiful brown color, yet in brand-new condition. It’s a combination of beloved moments from the past and present where everything feels solid, reliable, and honors beauty from the heart. We already plan to return for the restaurant and even consider booking an overnight to check out the upper decks. A true gem with character!

Very good location near the highway. Good business hotel, very nice staff.
Very good location.
Rooms clean and tidy. Unfortunately, room 70 with roof pitch had no curtains to black out. In summer, the sun shines into the room until it sets. Early morning also bright in the room. No air conditioning in the rooms. Can get very warm in the summer.
Refrigerator in the room with out-of-service note and unfortunately also not cleared were leftovers from the guest beforehand in.
Breakfast is very good and has a rich selection.
The staff is very nice and accommodating.

Quiet location, but aging hotel
The hotel is conveniently located near the motorway and not far from the airport.
The house is idyllically situated in the forest.
You can park your vehicle in a small parking garage here.
The reception was friendly and correct.
The room seemed clean at first glance, but this later proved to be a mistake: there were shaving cream residues and shaving residues from the landlord in the shower.
A spider the size of a tarantula had also taken up residence in the bathroom.
The bathroom had a terribly bright and uncomfortable light. The room itself was functionally furnished. The bed in the single room was OK and the mattress was not saggy. What I have never seen in any other hotel was a TV guide available.
What I definitely missed in the room was a refrigerator.
Overall, the furnishings in the house are a bit dated.
Previous renovations have apparently been carried out using cheap hardware store materials. The breakfast was of "European standard" - the selection and quality were completely fine.
Unfortunately, I was completely lacking in friendliness when checking out. As if it were: never again. What a pity!
In conclusion: I wouldn't book a room in this hotel privately.
I was rather disappointed with the overall impression
