Dream hotel for everyone

We just love it and love to come back.
Travelling with celiac disease is not easy. But no problem here. The hotel took care of everything and I had a wider choice at all meals than anywhere else.
The room was well maintained.
The staff was just great.
The spa area great.
As always, no wishes were left unfulfilled.
See you next time

Central hotel in the heart of Ruhpolding with weaknesses

The Hotel zur Post has modernly furnished rooms with an armchair, flat-screen TV, closet, and safe.
Good food is available in the hotel restaurant for dinner starting at 5 p.m.
The Hotel zur Post is centrally located in Ruhpolding, just a 4-minute walk from the train station, with a large parking lot for guests.
A very well-furnished reading room with books and illustrated volumes invites you to browse and linger.
The St. Georg church, situated slightly above the center of Ruhpolding, is a baroque jewel.
Regarding weaknesses, the following comes to mind:
The hotel staff could be a bit friendlier, but so could the hotel guests. Especially at breakfast.
The indoor pool was so occupied by a family playing ball on Sunday afternoon that it was hardly possible for the other guests to swim in the pool themselves. I have not experienced that in comparable hotels before.
I found the hotel room uncomfortable due to the many (superfluous) light switches and the wood paneling in three different colored woods, as modern as they may be.
The drain of the sink in the modern and large bathroom was very weak.
Overall, I would give it a grade of +3 as a total rating.

It is a shame that the landlord and bartender is so unprofessional...

Robbed at checkout

We have just returned from spending 8 nights (our second visit in the past 2 years) and it’s with a heavy heart I have to give them a 1 star review.
All was well until check out, when we were informed we were being charged for ‘staining the laundry’. The lady on the check out preceded to pull out one bath towel and one bed sheet as evidence, I couldn’t believe my eyes at how petty they were being, the ‘stains’ proved to be the faintest of marks probably my wife’s makeup or dirt from one of my 3 children. They must be using the cheapest of cheap detergent if it can’t clean the laundry properly.
I was a little annoyed but said okay, how much do we owe you? To which the lady replied 200 euros!!!! Yes that’s 200 euros for some cheap hotel towels and bedding. Absolutely furious at this point I asked why so much, to which they said it was for all the towels and all the bedding from our 8 day stay. Surely you would inform the customer on day 2 or 3 if they believed we were damaging their property. One can only assume they waited 8 nights so they could rob us!!
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the globe and never once paid anything like this, I’m upset, angry and somewhat embarrassed that the staff at this hotel are questioning mine and my family’s integrity.
I will never go back and will make sure I advertise this review far and wide. Don’t get me wrong the hotel is nice and the staff are friendly, but if you can’t use the towels or sleep in the beds how can you stay with them??
My parents were due to stop there at the end of October, obviously that booking will not go ahead. So that’s the first booking lost, well done team!!
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!

An absolute joy to stay here

Outstanding hospitality yet again from owners Rudi and Agi Rechl . The hotel is in a beautiful location. Ample free parking. Very comfortable rooms . Lovely swimming pool and wellness area. Service is exceptional fro the slick and professional team. The attention to detail is superb. The food is of a consistently high standard. The Sunday Schweinshaxe is amazing!
The bar has beautiful HB Traunstein beer on draft and there is a great selection of cocktails and spirits in this buzzy bar . Rudi, despite the bar being very busy, still finds time to greet and welcome guests with such warmth.
Breakfast is excellent and sets you up nicely for the day!
It is always a joy to stay here . Thank you team Rudi and Agi
