A very nice hotel with very nice rooms

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Rödermark in a quiet area. The rooms are very comfortably furnished and everything is very clean and well-kept. There is a good selection for breakfast and you can sit in the beautiful winter garden with a lovely view. In spring the magnolias bloom beautifully.
The hotel manager and the staff are very friendly.
You feel at home. I visited here again and again when I gave my block lectures at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

Rude

I didn't stay at this hotel. I was just visiting my mother just before she checked out.
It should be noted that my mother was in the hotel with her dog during her stay. I myself also had my dog with me, a basset hound.
Before I entered the hotel, I explicitly made sure that bringing a dog is not prohibited.
After my mother checked out, the gentleman at the reception asked us, not particularly politely, if both dogs had stayed at the hotel. I then answered him clearly that this was not the case and that I was merely visiting. Everything seemed to be fine up to that point.
When we had left the hotel and had already walked around the corner, the same gentleman suddenly started yelling at my mother from a balcony. He informed her that she was no longer wanted there and was banned from staying, as well as other inappropriate remarks. My mother reacted a bit annoyed and said that she had not intended to come back anyway.
Then, out of the blue, this gentleman called me a bum.
I don't know what problem this gentleman had with my mother. Honestly, I don't really care. What is absolutely unacceptable, however, is to insult a person you have seen for just 30 seconds in your life in this way. You have to seriously ask yourself what kind of person behaves like this.

Miserable and respectful service from the manager himself!

I wanted to cancel a reservation for the coming weekend by phone. The employee on the phone suggested to me that I had a reservation for last week. When I tried to explain myself, he didn't listen to me, said he would take out the reservation for this weekend and just hung up, even though I hadn't made two reservations. On another call, he turned out to be the "boss." He didn't believe me that I didn't have a reservation for last week, said again that he was taking out the reservation for this weekend and just hung up again. That it doesn't make any sense.
Miserable and respectful service from the manager himself!
Since there was no confirmation email from the reservation, unfortunately it cannot be proven. Which in turn is a poor service.

A charming hotel - and hopefully we can return one day

This is a beautiful hotel, in a lovely rural setting - and very reasonably priced too. We stayed there for two days and enjoyed the experience immensely. The two women who are apparently the managers/owners are absolutely charming and extremely helpful. The breakfast is superb. My wife and I can't think of one negative thing about the hotel. We're just very glad it was recommended to us and that we were able to stay there.

A ROMANTIC STAY IN THE GREEN

Romantic hotel in the countryside with a wonderful breakfast. The Gastgeber, Mr. Heyne, is of a unique kindness: always smiling and helpful. Cozy rooms, where you sleep very well and nothing is missing. For those who love a romantic atmosphere.
