Completely fine, especially for short stays - 4/5
The hotel is just completely fine. I was traveling to Penzberg for work, and the hotel was just convenient and practical for my needs.
Quick check-in, check-out, quite a few free parking spaces, etc.
Note: I didn't spend much time in the hotel, so I don't know how their breakfast is.
The only reason they get 1 point less is because in the evening, the entire building smelled like food (and it was not a good smell either), so maybe something to watch out for next time (better airing).

Good enough for Business trip
Stayed here for the 3rd time and it's ok for a short 1-2 weeks business trip.
It's conveniently located 5 mins from Roche .
They added eggs for breakfast and also room is renovated.
Restaurant is good.
I don't like the wifi but again, i'm only in the room to sleep .

No competition - nothing special
This is the only hotel in the city Penzberg that makes its money with the business travelers bound for the large pharmaceutical plant on the outskirts which I guess grants a steady income. It's decent, clean with friendly reception staff. Last remodeling was done I guess in the late 80s and the hotel rooms still have that ”outdated charm”. The area is quiet despite being across a large shopping center. The positive part ends here: my mattress was worn out the bed of the single bedroom was tiny. I cannot begin to imagine how this room would feel in summer under the roof no AC, shades that do not block light etc. The entire room has one free power outlet near the bed none at the table so bring a charged Notebook if you want to work. Wifi is free, slow and unstable. There is a noisy refrigerator, under the table. The bathroom was clean and in good 80s style condition. Breakfast is below average too some cereals, sausage, cheese, marmalade and bred. I guess being in this comfortable business situation does not create any need for better service or a better product if you have to stay in Penzberg city this hotel will provide you an ok place to sleep and you won't leave hungry in the morning that's it.

A Disney Saga
An uneasy feeling haunted me as I approached my room, had I been here before many years ago what was my experience, can't remember
I grasped the handle, opened the door. The day was hot, sunny, air fresh in the breeze. I'd been travelling a while and in my minds eye my room would be cool, inviting, large bed with crisp linen perhaps a mini bar with chilled bottled water waiting to be drunk then perhaps lay a while before unpacking.
Well, this attic room, white washed wooden slats above, tiny desk, no fridge, no spare mains outlet to charge my handy. Dust laidened surfaces and unloved bathroom not very welcoming to freshen up in. There was a small fan nearby which I used once and decided quickly it was'nt for me; I left the window open in the vain hope of feeling the dance of air teasing me outisde. The curtains afforded me were truly rediculous when one knows what job these coverings are supposed to do, such as keeping the morning sun out of your eyes at 5 a.m.
I tried hanging a towel up and that idea fell flat on the dusty floor along with the curtain rail. Oops. Lastly the tiny bed my children had bigger single beds; oh and if you you're a fidgit while sleeping you will either kick TV on the floor, its at the end of the bed or you will roll of it either you'll be awake. So in essence its suitable for one of the 7 dwarfs and if I had to pick one it would be Grumpy. WiFi sketchy no good for streaming. I had been here before and then I remarked not to return.

Good Value
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and spoke fantastic English. The rooms were a little dated but very comfortable with everything you would expect or need. Breakfast was good and overall, the hotel was very good value.
