Convenient and quiet location in Nuremberg, close to tram lines and other public transportation. Nice buffet breakfast included in room charge.

Visit to the Petzengarten

Visit to the Petzengarten
We spontaneously called the Petzengarten at 11:30 a.m. today and were able to reserve two places without any problems. The places were still reserved from 1 p.m., which was completely fine. We chose a sauerbraten and a vegetarian dish.
The puff pastry was filled with a potato and mushroom mixture. A little too finely chopped for my taste and not very seasoned.
There was also a mixed salad on the plate.
Unfortunately I found a
piece of plastic in the salad. My appetite was then gone. An apology in the form of an espresso was offered. An absolute
no go for such a high-priced menu. The sauerbraten tasted good.

Pretty good.

We chose Petzengarten party because of a promo price through Booking.com. It is located a short walk from a bus stop, and from there you can use public transit to get pretty much anywhere you want to go in Nuremberg. That being said, if you want to walk everywhere from the hotel, you will not find much in the way of tourist interest very close. The bus is your friend. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Happily, they even had an elevator, which made the day we walked over 19 miles much more bearable at the end. There was a mini fridge in the room, but no kettle, nor could we wheedle one from the staff. It wasn't always easy to find staff while we were there. You do have to hunt around a bit. Do yourself a favor and take your room key with you, as the front door gets locked earlier than advertised. Your door key will open the front door. Breakfast on the weekend had a good variety of food, but come Monday it had been pared down. All in all, a decent place to stay, though I think the full room rate is high for what you get. The Booking deal made it work for us.

Terribly Unprofessional..

Room cost..210€..Heating defect, late evening no one to take care ..next morning repaired, no sign of Good will gesture on part of management, to compensate or any price reduction..
Don't care Attitude of Staff n management.
Room price jacked up because of Post covid business, n local small exhibition taking place.
Mr Lindner ,owner nowhere to be seen.
Restaurant staff ,looked like young lovey dovey couple as staff, were more active privately,
Food served heapfull Portion on small plate,Unappealing ,terrible.
Looks like Overall Everyone has got stuck in 1960/70..
..
Never again..
A Ripoff..

Cosy stay

This was a lovely hotel stay. Not right in the centre of Nuremberg but a short tram ride away. Comfortable rooms and great restaurant. Occasionally felt like the place was being run by invisible elves but you could always find someone eventually. Would stay there again.
