Great service, excellent location, everything worked out for us

The hotel itself is a bit older, and the furnishings are accordingly, BUT everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were very spacious in terms of area. The location is unbeatable, you cannot stay anywhere better, and several restaurants are within walking distance. In good weather, you have many opportunities to spend time outside and sit on one of the many terraces.
In the hotel itself, there is also a small outdoor area where you can sit; cold drinks are in a refrigerator in the anteroom and are billed on an honor system. My room also had a small balcony with furniture.
The hotel had no air conditioning, but in my room and in my colleague's room, there was a large fan that provided cooling.
I didn't have breakfast, but everything looked fresh and I could have even had a homemade cheesecake, you don't find that in every hotel;-) Oh yes, and porridge would have been available too, and egg dishes are prepared upon request.
What should also be highlighted is that the service was 5 stars! Super friendly, very accommodating, and both ladies always had a smile on their faces. Thanks for that. It is not the cheapest hotel in Mühldorf, but the location, the service, and the friendliness are worth it. We will be back!

Very, very good

We were guests at the Altstadt Hotel Wetzel from May 24 to 25, 2026, and we were completely thrilled. We would especially like to highlight the incredibly friendly and warm hotel team, who truly do everything to make you feel comfortable. Every wish was fulfilled with a smile, and you can immediately tell that hospitality is a top priority here.
A very special thank you goes to the team for the wonderful birthday surprise: Even though we only asked about it on Sunday evening, a birthday cake with a candle was quickly organized. That was absolutely not taken for granted and made our stay even more special.
The hotel also impresses with a pleasant atmosphere, clean rooms, and very personal service. You do not feel like just any guest here, but truly welcome.
We would be very happy to return and can recommend the hotel without reservation! Thank you very much to the entire team for this wonderful stay.

A top address for cyclists from the Innradweg, with charm and good value for money

A friendly bett&bike hotel. I arrived spontaneously on my bike in the summer season on Saturday. Got a room with shower, bike garage spacious and could even have my laundry done. For a long-term traveler top!

Great and relaxed lodging

Smaller and very nice hotel. A great team, super-friendly, dedicated (the staff actually bake fresh cake for breakfast) - plus a quiet terrace with small bar out back. Rooms are clean and great in shot.

My feel-good hotel for years

For many years I have been coming to Mühldorf am Inn mostly on business and, if possible, staying at the Altstadthotel Wetzel. Because I just wrote a review for the Indian restaurant Maharani, it occurred to me that a review of "Wetzel" is long overdue. It's a hotel that I always look forward to, very good breakfast, comfortable beds, everything spotlessly clean and a friendly, warm team. The Wetzel is very well located on the town square. All downtown restaurants are within walking distance. It's been my favorite for all these years. When I think about today which hotel that I have visited over the years is my personal feel-good hotel, then it is definitely the Wetzel. If possible, my wife accompanies me to Mühldorf and she sees it exactly the same way. Thanks to the team for the many wonderful stays, Thomas@Vera Bitzenhofer
