Unbelievably Picturesque Hotel in the Heart of the Alps

Absolutely delightful hotel in the heart of one of the most picturesque towns in Bavaria. Our room had an unbelievable view of the Alps which was a showstopper for the whole family. We stayed in the family suite which was very clean, spacious and well-appointed. (Also a great value compared to reserving two separate rooms for our family of four.) The front desk staff were super-friendly and helped us with any questions. We enjoyed both breakfast and late dinner/drinks at the hotel restaurant, which faces the Alps and has a pleasant front garden to sit, relax, and enjoy the mountain view. The hotel is just a few steps from the main shopping streets and an easy fifteen minute walk to the Karwendelbahn cable cars to the top of the mountain. (HUGE hit with the kids.) The pool and spa were also relaxing. You can hear the church bells every morning (so pretty!) and though it's in the heart of the town the evening was pleasantly quiet. Would definitely recommend!

Always happy to return.

Service that is friendly, familiar, and yet unobtrusive. Very well organized and professional. Really great breakfast. Rooms always cleaned super well. We would love to come back here again.

Exceeds the expectations of a 3*s

Very friendly and pleasant staff. Good breakfast. The room was very clean and tidy.
The comfort and the amenities of the house can easily be classified as those of a 4* hotel.
I would also like to thank you once again for the opportunity to shower again in the late afternoon after returning from our tour!
I would love to come back.

A hotel where one feels good

I had an excellent stay at the Alpenhotel Rieger.
The room was very comfortable, quiet, and perfectly clean. The breakfast was of very good quality.
The welcome was warm from start to finish, and I felt very well received. I also greatly appreciated having a parking space, a real plus when traveling by car.
It was my first stop on a solo trip, and this hotel greatly contributed to making this experience pleasant and serene.
I will return with great pleasure on my next stay in Mittenwald. I recommend this hotel without hesitation.
