Very good hotel.

Very good hotel, very pleasant and smiling staff.
Being French, we appreciated the conversation with a young woman from the establishment who spoke French very well.
Excellent breakfast, hearty and varied.

Disappointment

It could have been a nice stay in a rather expensive hotel. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by a whole series of avoidable problems.
We booked this hotel, among other reasons, because it explicitly advertised private parking spaces. Since we arrived with a vehicle that we were reluctant to leave on public streets, this criterion was crucial for us. However, upon our arrival, we were informed that all parking spaces were already occupied and that there were not enough spots for all hotel guests anyway. At least, we were promised that a parking space would be reserved for us for the following nights. For the first night, we were to find a parking garage in Konstanz on our own.
After a real odyssey through the completely overcrowded city, we finally found a parking garage, but it was about a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
The next shock followed upon entering our room. Instead of the booked room category with a stated size of 22 m² and a four-star level of amenities, we received a room that, when measured with an app, was just over 15 m² in size. Included in that was the tiny bathroom, about 3 m² in size, a half-glazed, half-frosted glass cabin with a glass door. Those who enjoy watching their partner while they use the toilet may find this modern. We do not.
I would like to mention in passing that typical amenities of a four-star hotel, such as bathrobes, slippers, or high-quality toiletries, were completely missing.
After another complaint at the reception, we at least received a different room for the second and third nights. This room was supposed to be 26 m² according to the booking portal, but it was at least approximately the 22 m² that we originally booked and paid for.
Another drawback was the significant noise disturbance at night. The hotel is located right next to a nightclub, making it practically impossible to sleep with the window open. However, it is worth mentioning that the air conditioning worked very well.
During our stay, we took numerous excursions and boat trips around Konstanz. We were repeatedly asked for a guest card, which we had never received. It was only on the evening before our departure that we inquired at the hotel. It turned out that while we had properly paid the tourist tax of 33 euros, the hotel had accidentally failed to issue us the guest card. As a result, we missed out on numerous discounts on admission prices and rides.
The receptionist responded in an exceptionally friendly and professional manner. She apologized for the mistake and offered to waive the parking fees for the nights we had used a hotel parking space as compensation. We were completely in agreement with this solution. Mistakes can happen after all. What matters is how they are handled.
The disappointment was all the greater the next morning at check-out. The manager, who apparently is also the owner of the hotel, showed a complete lack of customer orientation or courtesy and suddenly wanted nothing to do with the arrangement promised the night before. After a brief discussion, we made it clear that we would not pay these parking fees according to the agreement made, and we left.
Our conclusion: This hotel will certainly not see us again. Given the multitude of deficiencies, from misleading information about the parking spaces to the significantly smaller room, the missing guest card, and the unprofessional behavior of the hotel management, we unfortunately cannot recommend this establishment.

1 night in Konstanz

I was with my little son (10 months) for one night in business. Constance. We have booked the single room - and have received an upgrade to a double room thanks to the nice receptionist. That was good, as the single room was really quite small.
The room itself - was large and well equipped. Kettle was available on request free of charge. The furniture is no longer the most modern - but everything is clean. The bathroom was handicapped accessible - quite big for it - but also quite cold, so you didn't feel the feeling of taking a shower:) The location of the hotel is good - within walking distance of the Swiss border.
To the city center of Konstanz - a stone's throw.
Parking costs 20 euros in the courtyard, breakfast was included with me - and that was also good - except for the coffee / chocolate - which were very watery. The cot I brought myself, as this otherwise 15 euros
would have cost extra - and I definitely think that's too much. Overall a nice stay - for 1/2 nights you can definitely recommend the place!

Excellent choice for short stay in Konstanz. Quiet pedestrian area on edge of old town 10 mins from station. Rooms not spacious but well equipped with draw and hanging space. Inclusion of breakfast a bonus but plenty of excellent bakeries/cafes around. Well pleased with our choice.

Very good location
