Coffee / restaurant

Were in the cafe eating and drinking something small. Does not give great meals but just rather coffee/cake. Flame cake is slightly larger and recommended. The staff are normally friendly. You could just pick places outside.

We were very often at the Hanseat. In our current stay, however, we were denied a place in the cafe without reason.

Recently, very unfriendly to cafe guests. Only hotel guests are served inside! Twice we wanted to sit in because of the cool weather, which always went on in the years before. Now we've been turned away. Café guests are now unwelcome at Hanseat!

Impossible service personnel

Wanted to eat at the restaurant. Wollte! Sass alone in the restaurant, on the terrace were a few tables occupied. In service 4 ladies, so enough staff. Upon entering, the 4 stood together and discuss eagerly with each other. I wasn't even noticed or greeted. After 15 minutes came 4 new guests who were served immediately. I was still sitting there without being able to order.
I had already had the experience that in the restaurants on Heligoland you are not liked as a traveler alone. You occupy a table with only 1 person, but you could sell the table for 2 or 4 people.
So I waited patiently, made myself felt again and again, but was not noticed. After 40 minutes my patience broke and left the restaurant. Such a lousy service has never happened to me. As an innkeeper, I would have fired the staff. They cared more about chatting together, like their work. When I went outside I also noticed a guest saying to the service: Are they always so unfriendly?”
Apparently this is normal in the Hanseat.

A good place

Stayed there for two nights was a nice stay with sea view and the sounds of waves. There is good breakfast but not vegetarian and vegan friendly. Make sure to put don’t disturb outside before sleeping as the room service came at 8 in the morning which is a bit early. Also found a charger in the room from a previous guess unsure how well they cleaned that a charger was still left behind

Food ok, service not very friendly

We didn't stay here, but only visited the restaurant for lunch.
We had the flammkuchen and a beer, the beer and food was served quite quickly and it was quite ok. When we asked for the check and wanted to pay buy card, the vatreise was clearly very annoyed.
Don't go here for the great service, but they have a nice view of the waterfront and decent food.
They also have what looked like a nice selection of cake.
