A 4-star hotel with significant shortcomings

During our stay, we had a very spacious suite with a large balcony, which we generally liked. Unfortunately, however, the cleanliness of the suite did not meet our expectations. For instance, we found hair on the bathroom tiles and on the tables, as well as dust on the glass surfaces. We also found a small stone in the high-pile carpet. The carpet itself had several stains, which made it look unkempt overall. In addition, we discovered painter's tape on the side of a cabinet.
We would like to highlight positively that there was a Nespresso machine in the room. Unfortunately, however, no capsules were provided for it, so it could not be used.
The balcony door to the smoking balcony, which is accessible from the hallway, was also somewhat annoying. Every time it slammed shut, the vibrations were noticeable in our bed, as it was positioned directly against the corresponding wall.
There was also clearly visible dust on the dressers in the hallway.
Unfortunately, the breakfast did not convince us either and, in our view, did not meet the standard of a 4-star hotel. Cheese and sausage were apparently arranged on platters directly from bulk packs and did not look very appealing. In addition, glasses were frequently missing at the juice buffet, and food items like scrambled eggs, bacon, or jam were only refilled with a delay. A hazelnut cocoa spread for children was neither available nor obtainable upon request.
Furthermore, at times there were not enough tables set, so some guests had to wait for a seat. Clearing and resetting the tables also seemed to be something the staff could barely manage. We were not the only ones who got the impression that there is a lack of staff and good organization here; we also noticed it from other guests.
In conclusion, we would like to mention that due to the points mentioned, we ultimately received a discount on our stay.
Overall, we unfortunately had the feeling that the hotel aspires to be a 4-star establishment, but currently does not live up to this in terms of cleanliness, breakfast offerings, as well as organization and staff. We hope that our comments are understood as constructive feedback and contribute to improving the guest experience.

Unfortunately, not recommendable.

We were two at the castle restaurant before a performance as part of the OH Festival. Unfortunately, the selection of dishes on the menu was very limited, and there were unfortunately no smaller dishes or salads. The price level is too high. What a pity...

Not suitable for a café visit.

The café is not suitable for groups. Order taking takes a long time. Cakes and coffee arrive separately and with a significant time gap. The cake is eaten by the time the coffee arrives. The coffee is drunk by the time the cake arrives.
