Beautiful stay

Very clean room, quiet and very tasty breakfast! The wellness area is quite small - the swimming pool is incredibly cold. A few degrees more would definitely have been nicer. The saunas are small but fine.

Rocked and overwhelmed

The location of the hotel at the end of the pedestrian zone is an excellent starting point for a walk into the city or tours through the Harz Mountains.
The single rooms are relatively large, so you can move there "freely", the bathrooms sufficient for one person.
Otherwise, the entire house is quite "rocked" and is undergoing a major renovation backlog. Many of the wash concrete slabs in the entrance area are loose, the stairs at the main entrance are ramshackle. Attention, danger of accident! The heating seems to be defective (in the hotel corridor the water ran onto the carpet, in the rooms it could not be turned off).
Breakfast was a complete disaster! We were lucky enough to get one last teapot (without lid, but chipped at the pourer), however, there was no hot water from the water heater. There were special dispensers for butter and Nutella, which unfortunately were constantly empty. Alternatively, there was plant margarine. The empty dishes piled up on the tables or were placed in the window sills. The staff radiates a terrible rush and seems to be completely overwhelmed. To use the "free" wellness area, you have to buy a 5€ package. In order to get a seat in the restaurant, it is best to reserve at home. A lot MUST for the prepaying guest, little trust in the hotel restaurant, so we (and many house guests as well) have booked the restaurants in the city for the next evenings of our stay. Super tip: "The Truffle," "Müller's Steak and Tapas Bar." Almost expectable that the receptionist did not ask at check out if we had a pleasant stay.

Practice experience

The hotel is old and the track next door is noisy. No air conditioning at 33 degrees is really hard. Despite having a fan in our room. Breakfast was middle class nothing special and staff at the deck were friendly but cool. We booked the hotel because of the spa area, which was ok but away's puds had played off with wakers. We will not book the hotel again

Disappointing

A hotel that over the years has dropped significantly in quality. Both rooms and restaurant are under average. Furthermore, Goslar is a city that closes after 20:00... even during the high season in July.

Was ok, but no more than that. Can’t really recommend.

City centre hotel, bit grubby, no AC and the room was almost unbearably hot. Staff were keen to help and always polite and friendly.
The hotel is not remotely as spectacular as the online pics make it look.
