Fair Price/ Value

Nothing to complain, as it was a lovely room which even included breakfast for under 70 Euros.
Location is 10 minutes walking distance from Eschwege Hauptbahnhof and approx. 20 minutes to city center/ Marktplatz.
Only annoying thing was that hotel staff called me via the house telephone 3 times on Sunday Morning starting 8:00 AM, to ask when breakfast, when paying and when leaving?!
But for a short trip for an affordable price, you cant go wrong with Struth, as Struth is gut!

Reasonable and comfortable hotel in a beautiful Tudor style town

The hotel is located in a residential area which means its very quiet and peaceful. It's a 15 minute walk or 2 minute ride by car to the center of this quaint wonderful town. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with a good restaurant. Breakfast was included and was in typical European style of meats, bread, cheese, eggs, cereals, fruit and yogurt.

Nicht nochmal

Zentrumsnah (fußläufig 10 Min.), ruhige Lage in einem Wohngebiet mit ausreichend Parkplätzen rundherum, Gastraum, Treppenhaus und Zimmer sind gemütlich mit viel Holz, das Bad war bei Ankunft dreckig, die Toilette dreckig, versiffte Fugen in und an der Dusche, Dübel des Handtuchhalters aus der Wand gerissen, die Matratze hatte einen üblen muffigen Geruch, das Bett quietschte bei jeder Bewegung erbärmlich, wurstscheibendickes Convenience-Schnitzel mit Fritten und einem zu 70% aus Konserve bestehenden Salat zu 19,50 € ist nicht wiederholungsbedürftig, in der Küche wurde geraucht - widerlich !

Das Haus hat etwas von "Retro"-Hotel und damit schon wieder einen Charme. Alles wirkt sehr gepflegt und sauber. Unser Hotelzimmer war ein wenig "kompakt", aber ordentlich und sauber. Leider war das Bad ein "No Go". Stockflecken in der Dusche und die Wandfliesen nicht gepflegt. Größe des Zimmers und das ungepflegte Bad für 105 € bei Direktbuchung (bei Booking war es für 99 € zu bekommen), das passt nicht.
Schade, denn im Hoteleigenen Restaurant wird ein richtig gutes leckeres und ambitioniertes Essen angeboten!

Ordentliches Hotel in günstiger Lage

Es handelt sich zwar um ein älteres Hotel, was dennoch recht gut in Schuß ist. Wir waren eine Woche mit einer Wandergruppe dort unter gebracht und im Großen und Ganzen waren alle Teilnehmer zufrieden. Richtig ist, dass die persönliche Ausstrahlung des Inhabers nicht unbedingt bei jedem Menschen ankommt. Manche seiner Prinzipien wirken befremdlich. Dennoch war der Service und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war immer sehr lecker und auch das Frühstück war dem Standard des Hotels entsprechend gut. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig in einer Wohnsiedlung. Bis zum Stadtbahnhof sind es zu Fuß nur acht Minuten und zur Innenstadt 15 Minuten. In entsprechender Lage gibt es in Eschwege keine Alternative.
