Breakfast was very good. Above all, however, is the friendliness of the entire
Staff from boss to room attendant. My tip: Keep it up !!!

Not the best

I have stayed here a few times...this is a quirky hotel / guest house...there is no reception after 6pm...rooms very basic...breakfast very basic...hospitality basic ...more like a guest house would not stay again .

Good choice for business

The room are neat, clean and in very good condition. They change the towels every day and clean the room. The only negative I must say it's there isn't any fridge in the room. But you have new bottle if sparkling water every day. The breakfast is not include in room's price. It's ok. The staff is really nice and helpful. We enjoy our stay!

Clean, neat and affordable

We stayed in the hotel for one night as a stop-over. The hotel in neat and functional. The price is very affordable. Room was spacious. Breakfast was good and the reception was friendly and efficient. The hotel is within walking distance of the restaurants. It rained, but we opt to walk to the river. Close distance. Parking for car available.
Unfortunately the wi-fi is none existing. For us it was an issue and disappointing.

Extremely Helpful Staff.

On our way back from the TDF in Düsseldorf one of our party suffered a fairly horrific crash which meant he ended up in Emmerich Hospital for a few days. We quickly looked up on the internet for hotels nearby and stayed at the Am Pan for two nights.
To be honest, we spoke no German, we were in a strange little town and a little shell shocked from the accident. It was therefore quite wonderful to be greeted by the very helpful and understanding gentleman on the desk who listened to our predicament and went out of his way to assist at every turn. From storing our bikes in secure parking across the road in a lock-up; to looking up train timetables for us; recommending places to eat and showing general concern for our fallen comrade!
The room was spacious, the showers nice and hot and powerful, the bed nice and comfortable and Eurosport on the TV! We eventually figured out how to work the shutters as well!
Breakfast was plentiful - fruit, cereal, meat, cheeses and some hot stuff too. Coffee was brought on demand. The lady at the breakfast room was also very kind and friendly.
Overall it's a very quiet and pleasant little hotel about 400 metres from the hospital which was ideal.
The only small complaint I would have is that although there is free wifi it is hard to get a signal in our room so we had to go down to the breakfast room to get connected.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the Am Pan Hotel.
