Recommended!

The winery I visited was a lovely place with a great selection of Riesling wines. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a perfect destination to enjoy quality wines. The Riesling wines I tasted were refined and tasteful, with a good balance between sweetness and acidity. I can definitely recommend this winery to lovers of Riesling and to anyone looking for a great wine experience. Highly recommended!

We recommend

We stayed with the Clemens family for 4 nights. The couple are very nice hosts and make sure that their guests feel comfortable. The room with the modern, new bathroom and a beautiful balcony has everything you need. The breakfast is lovingly prepared, with a large selection and regional products.
When the weather is nice, you can drink wine or coffee in the courtyard.
Even special requests such as a larger pillow or a hard-boiled egg were fulfilled.
There are enough parking spaces and also a bicycle garage with charging facilities.
We would like to highlight the very interesting wine tasting with a cellar tour. We were able to look at everything, received a lot of interesting information and had plenty of delicious wine and bread. The price is absolutely fair.
We felt very comfortable!

Excellent wine tasting at a very fine family winery and boutique hotel.

My wife and I were referred to this vineyard/winery by the owner of a very good restaurant in Cochem, who told us that there were thousands of "crappy" wineries in the Mosel valley but that Clemens was top notch. We definitely agree. The winery is located about 20 minute drive south from Cochem in what I'd characterize as a residential neighborhood just off the highway and river. We went for the wines and bought six bottles to drink during our Mosel trip. Highly recommend the "Spatburgunder/Pinot noir and (of course) Rieslings. For the price there are some of the best German wine we tasted during our two week Germany trip (visiting Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Cochem, Trier and points in between). (7.50 to 16.50 Euros for our bottles.) Wish we'd have stayed at the Clements guesthouse for a night, but our reservations were made prior to the trip. We were greeted by the owners, given a wine menu and enjoyed a "flight" of wines to taste in the lovely patio garden area. This is an authentic small, hard working family winery well worth a visit during a drive between Cochem and Trier. Thank you Clemens family for your hospitality!

Our trip to Germany and Belgium

Booked this lovely apartment back in June. Host Tanja was extremely helpful. We had the good fortune to arrive on a Wednesday so we’re able to take advantage of the tour of the winery as well as the wine tasting. A lovely quiet village ideally situated for the major towns in the area. Unfortunately, we were a week early for the Poltersdorf wine festival but on time for the Ellenz wine festival which was a short bus ride away. Tanja gave us the tourist tickets which enabled us to travel for free. Weather was a bonus. The wine harvest was in full swing.

There's a reason for the good reviews

We stayed 4 nights in the Domherrenbergh appartment which is in the building right next to the. It is a 2 bedroom appartment suited suited for 4 people.
The appartment has all you need and it was spotless clean. The beds were comfy and we slept very well.
It seems this guesthouse is mainly booked by other belgians and dutchmen, who like it here so much that come back every year... and they are right.
The Clemens family are really warm and friendly people, and their smile really makes you feel welcome. Make sure to participate with the wine tasting... as the family makes some of best Moselle wines. We ended up buying 3 cases :-)
All in all a very pleasant stay. If I would need to make some remarks, I could say that the Wifi signal is not very strong, and that the breakfast is a bit basic (however very tastefull)... but these are really minor remarks which should not get in your way to book this accomodation.
If I could would have rated this 4.5/5 !
