I really love the gym, I know the space is normally limited in the hotel, but good news is they have dual adjustable pulley which is very useful. The treadmill is quite new. Wonderful experience there.

The a/c out in our room. Front desk tried to fix could not. A/c guy coming to fix - give it 30 min. (Has been 2.5 hrs and can’t go in the room) over 36 degrees. Says it is fixed it will take a bit to cool. Finally leave the hotel(plans had to cancelled). Come bad at 11:30 no change. Sit in the lobby manager looking for a new hotel until 2. Gives me a fan. I come back and him to open windows. He can only open 1 -World Cup night so lots of honking. He leaves we turf off the light. The fan goes off. Back to the front desk past 2am at this time. He gets a new room key and tells me if they check in he doesn’t have a room. I told him my bed had not been touched. Hmm? We have 2 people have been pretty patient for 8 hours. Have to move all of our stuff at 3am. Guess what- room maybe 30-32 degrees. He told us takes a sec. So tired- went to sleep. Manager in the morning seemed nice. At 2 she said I was fine- my 15 old said - so hot. Room number 3–finally cold!!! All 3 managers said they would comp our gross raw food at the bar and the 1st night room. Check out - nothing — have a good day we offered you breakfast Dusseldorf was totally ruined!!

More than 4 stars! Surprisingly good... in all areas!
I booked this hotel spontaneously ("from one day to the next") directly through the hotel website. I chose a room of the category "The Level" with a lounge access. I report on the stay below:
(1) Booking
Easily via the APP with possibility to specify wishes regarding the room. In addition, there is a 10% discount on consumption in the hotel if booked directly. On the day of check-in, Guest Service Manager L.K. sent a friendly, appreciative email informing about the upcoming hotel stay. She even reported back that my room request had arrived and been taken into account: just not an "0815 standard mail" but personally and related to the guest. Great and known to me in this form only from the luxury hotel industry (5 stars, 5 stars superior).
(2) Checkin
Friendly and uncomplicated. I was surprised, however, how little you go into the really great "additional services" of the hotel at check-in. Here I would have liked that there is information about the Turn-Down Service in the The-Level rooms or about the sauna area in the basement. The offers are then, the hotel far from a 4 star house and could be mentioned quietly at check-in special.A more Service I would always communicate with the guest. Especially when it comes to first impressions,
(3) Rooms
I had, as requested, a room on the top tenth floor. The Guest Service Manager pointed out to me before check-in that this is a bit smaller than usual in this category but has a fantastic view. I liked to opt for a few square meters less and this really great view over the Hofgarten, the Rhine bridges to the Rheinturm. That's all Dusseldorf can do if you open your eyes in the morning and look outside. The room has a large bed with a super comfortable mattress that I would just as much like to have at home. In the corner is a huge TV and a Bose soundbar. There are also two bottles of water in the minibar, but you can book additional beverage packages and have the minibar stocked with them. Otherwise there is a small desk surface, a small armchair and two cupboards. Amenities are available in the room more than usual: Sleeping set (sleep mask, earplugs), toothbrush, razor, nail care set and lots of Rituals products (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and hand/body lotion), in addition, the room is scented with Rituals fragrance oil (sticks in a bottle). Many a 5-star house can cut off a slice!
(4) The Level Lounge
The Level Lounge is located on the ground floor of the hotel and is an exclusive area for guests who have booked a room of this category. Access can be obtained with a separately programmed card. Directly at the entrance is an additional small check in, where you can meet the Guest Service Manager in person, your friendliness is to be emphasized here again in particular. The lounge serves breakfast, coffee and cake and a small dinner. In addition, cold and hot drinks are available all day (until 10:00 p.m.) in the lounge. The stay is unlimited during opening hours and all food and drinks are included with booking of this category. But if you're fooled by a standard version of a lounge here, both Mood and food and drink options clearly exceed the standard of a 4-star hotel. There are small and large groups of tables and a rather cozy area overlooking the street and courtyard garden. The atmosphere is very quiet, it is good to stay here and also work.
(5) Breakfast
Breakfast is offered separately for The Level guests in the lounge. I therefore have no experience of the breakfast buffet for the other areas of the house. The breakfast buffet in the lounge offers everything you could wish for: sweet and savoury baked goods, sausages and cheese variations, salmon, vegetables, different fruits (cut and piece), different juices, coffee specialities, a really wide selection of different and high-quality teas and different dishes from the menu. At this point, the Egg Benedict, which is served at the table in a special interpretation, should be highlighted. Here too: outstanding offer above the standard of a 4-star hotel! Smaller requests for breakfast are fulfilled by the staff if possible. Food intolerances are not a problem: on the one hand, the label of all foods is 100% correct and there are a variety of alternatives, for example when choosing milk. In my opinion, the quality of the breakfast also exceeds the usual range of services offered by a 4-star hotel, at least in The Level Lounge.
(6) Cleanliness
My room, lounge and public areas of the hotel appeared more very, very clean. An elegant but non-intrusive fragrance is fogged in the hallways. Even with a critical eye, no deficits in the area of hygiene can be identified.
(7) Turn-down Service
Amenities in "The Level" rooms include an evening Turn.Down Service, which was done at my place on the first evening. On evenings 2 and 3, no one came into the room in the afternoon/evening. I will not deduct a rating point for this, because the offer in a 4 star house is actually not to be expected. But I recommend checking internally why the offer was twice not made and this despite a friendly hint on my part.
(8) Checkout
Very friendly and I was again advised of the hotel's own status program. In addition, they asked for my impressions at the end of the stay. All I had to say was praise. Finally, the invoice was sent to me by email as requested.
Overall experience:
Absolute booking recommendation!
The location is great. Located at two light rail stops (Sternstraße right outside the door, Tonhalle accessible by a short walk through the Hofgarten). Königsallee and Altstadt are within walking distance of the beautiful Hofgarten. Room, service quality, breakfast... more 5 star level than 4 stars. If you are looking for a comfortable (and luxurious in The Level area) hotel and if you do not mind a few steps to the center of the city, you should definitely try this hotel.

Good that there was a spa, but the steam sauna was out of function. Breakfast was fairly good, but if you need a napkin you need to ask the staff as it was not available elsewhere. The room was nice but very hot. Air condition is not available until May, regardless of temperature.

Very nice hotel, but rooms way too warm with just a lot of excuses and no action.
Overall, great hotel. But the issue is the climate control in the room and all the excuses that I received from the front desk after numerous discussions. They had the heating on, along with the heated floors on which they had no control over. The only alternative was open your window, which then made it very noisy. We asked for a fan, but they don’t supply any fans and I couldn’t even get an oven and iron to iron my jacket and shirt. So overall not a pleasant experience. Proulx is wonderful staff wonderful room rooms are nice but attention to detail is not on their list.
