Double Double-pane windows facing the train tracks kept the noise to a whisper day and night. They gave me a wheelchair accessible room that had the biggest shower I've ever seen in the EU. Breakfast is extra, and continental style, but they had something hot every day and the lobby 'co-working' space was very nice. Only complaint would be the stained and worn carpets on the first floor hallways.

Very good location close to central station ( 400 meters) but in not very good neighborhood.
Room was very clean but very basic and good only for business traveler
The worn furnishings and lack of basic amenities, make this feel closer to a three start hotel.

AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY

This is an excellent hotel. First class. Very near Cologne hbf and in an interesting area but sound proofed against any noise. Good wi-fi. Safe in room. Proper hangers. Good air conditioning. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is pricey but not obligatory and hot drinks available free in reception area from late night to late morning. Small gym. Roof terrace.

Very nice hotel located in walking distance from TONS of shops grocery stores restaurants and the Cologne Cathedral which is a major plus for travelers. We never had to use any ride shares or taxi. If you need to get around further distances, this hotel is also in walking distance to the tram which was another big plus for us. They have very nice friendly staff that were very accommodating to us from the US. It was a nice stay and will stay here again when we come back to Germany.

This hotel has become much more than just a place to stay for me; it truly feels like my second home. I have stayed here seven times so far, and I certainly intend to continue staying here whenever I visit Cologne. I simply would not consider staying anywhere else.
The main reason is the exceptional reception staff, who are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The excellent breakfast buffet and the opportunity to relax in the hotel’s garden also make every stay particularly enjoyable.
On this visit, I was also very impressed by the newly arranged lobby and lounge areas. They have been beautifully designed, and the bar now has a wonderful and inviting atmosphere.
However, what truly makes this hotel feel like my second home is its staff. Their warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and willingness to help are what keep bringing me back time and time again.
