Once again I stayed at Haus Wessel and was treated as family

If you don't stay at Haus Wessel while in the Cologne, Germany area, you will miss a great place. Words can not describe the service and facility. The warmth of the hosts is extraordinary and beyond from what I have ever seen.

Stay at Haus Wessel

We visited my mother in Cologne and stayed with Barbara and Horst on Christmas/New Year 2016/2017 and the warm welcome and great room made this an enjoyable stay. You could not meet any nicer people. Loved it and if someone looks for a place to stay when in Cologne or Germany this is the place to go.

Sehr familiär geführtes Haus

Waren für 2 Übernachtungen dort. Urige Kneipe mit ebenso urigen, im Landhausstil eingerichteten Zimmern. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und fürsorglich, man fühlt sich fast wie Zuhause. Mit der Bahn in kurzer Zeit in der Innenstadt.

Een knus, gezellige gasthaus waar gastvrijheid troef is. Wij werden ontvangen met koffie en cake en een leuk kennismakingsgesprek. De kamer werd ons toegewezen en in de frigo stond nog een aangename verrassing. De kamers waren gezellig ingericht en proper. Net voor het hotel stopt elk kwartier de tram die je in minder dan 15 min naar Keulen centrum brengt tot 's avonds laat. Geen gedoe met parking zoeken in centrum ! Het ontbijt was prima. Wij komen hier zeker terug.

Besuch im Haus Wessel

Ein Besuch im Hause Wessel fängt nachdem man das urige Gasthaus betreten hat gleich mal mit einem Kölsch an. Serviert von einem absoluten Vollblut-Gastwirtpaar, bei dem man sofort aufgenommen wird, als würde man sich ewig kennen. Dann geht es weiter zum Zimmer - einmalig originell eingerichtet - wo schon ein Dessert in der Minibar auf einen wartet. Ingesamt gibt es in dem Zimmer alles was man so braucht und darüber hinaus noch einiges Mehr. Doch es lohnt sich das Zimmer nochmals zu verlassen, um auf das eine oder andere Kölsch in das Wirtshaus zu gehen. Vorallem natürlich der beiden Wirte wegen, von denen man nicht nur allerlei über die Umgebung erfahren, sondern auch "echtes Kölsch" mitnehmen kann.
Alles in Allem ist es ein einzigartiges Erlebnis im Haus Wessel zu übernachten, was nur weiterzuempfehlen ist. Dieses Wirtspaar muss man mal erlebt haben.
