Just perfect in every way!

Fabulous on all accounts! From the friendly folks at the front desk to the fantastic waiters at the restaurant. We loved our stay at Bokel-Muhle am See. Our room was lovely and immaculately clean. We enjoyed our balcony and the chance to sit outside and appreciate the view of your lovely surroundings. The restaurant was wonderful! The food was outstanding. Congratulations to the Chef because he deserves a great applause. Our meals were all outstanding, especially the Schnitzel and the sauce that was served with it! The BEST! Oh, and breakfast was really fabulous too. The food was fresh and there were many local and homemade items to eat! The location was so lovely. We enjoyed walking around the lake and enjoyed driving through the nearby villages and countryside which was so pretty. It was easy to drive back to Hamburg and return our rental car as well. And it was a great location to stop at on our way up north to Flensburg and Denmark. We highly recommend staying here! Thank you to all of the staff - you were all so kind to us and we appreciated each one of you! We loved seeing the area where we lived 45 years ago in Kellinghusen when we were a newly married couple. Our trip was delightful thanks to you! Oh, and your English was perfect!

It is sufficient for a stopover.

Room 14 was not nice. The bathroom was way too small and getting on in years.
The breakfast was good and the location was nicely furnished. Our dinner (Wiener Schnitzel) was not recommended. The potato-cucumber salad was creepy.

Restaurant closed Sunday and no option available.
Breakfast average at best
Booked suite with sauna and bath, and even in this room there were no amenities like schampoo and conditioner etc, something I would have expected.
No fridge in room
No black out curtains
No English TV besides BBC and no smart TV with youtube or streaming services.
No room service
No sound isolation, very noisy from corridor through the door.

Very nice

The hotel is very nice and clean. The only downside is that the shower has no light, and the tiles are very slippery, making it hard to hold on. Otherwise, everything is okay; I would gladly return.

Good stopover superb food

Exceptional stay, stop over from uk to Denmark, rooms really unusual and excellent food, beautiful location, loved to have been here in the sunshine to enjoy a beer by the lake
