Noisy Hotel Room
My stay here was very noisy and for this reason I did not like it. I checked in late around midnight and was visiting Berlin for my son‘s birthday. I had been in touch with the hotel several times before my arrival to order their birthday package and a nice room for this special occasion. I was woken at 4.30 am by the loudest noise you can imagine. I got up and looked out the window to discover that my room was right above the delivery entrance and the noise of deliveries taking place was unbearably loud ( hotel staff later informed me that this is laundry being delivered). Anyway that went on until about 5.30 am when I thought it had stopped. However , a few minutes later drinks/bottle deliveries started . I recorded the noise with the windows closed as it was really unbearable. At 6.30 am I rang the front desk. They told me to come down at 8.30 am and that my room would be changed. I was very exhausted and went down to the front desk at 8.30 am and spoke with a nice lady. I showed her the recording of the incredibly noisy room and she said she is aware of the problem with the room and that this room is only allocated if nothing else is free. She offered me a new room on the other side of the hotel overlooking the inner courtyard. I packed up all my things and moved down the hall . The lady could not explain why I was allocated the worst room when they had a better more quiet room available . The birthday package I had paid for was delivered a few minutes later but to be honest I was so exhausted from the lack of sleep it was hard to enjoy. The hotel staff I showed the recording of the noise to , said they appreciated seeing and hearing it as they don’t actually sleep in the hotel and couldn’t have imagined that it could be so disruptive. I had booked this hotel for 3 nights but was very disappointed with the noisy room. I travel to Berlin quite often but would not choose this hotel again for fear of being allocated a room with the noise issue again .

Horrible booking experience
Very disappointing handling of a simple rebooking request
I had booked a non-refundable rate at the HYPERION Hotel Berlin through Booking.com but unfortunately was unable to make the stay. I therefore contacted both Booking.com and the hotel directly by phone to ask whether the reservation could simply be moved to the following Monday.
I explicitly stated that I was willing to pay an additional fee or any difference in rate. I was not asking for a free cancellation or refund. I was simply trying to find a reasonable, customer-friendly solution that would still allow me to stay at the same hotel.
Unfortunately, my request was rejected without any apparent willingness to find an alternative. I was essentially told that because of the rate I had booked, changing the date was simply not possible.
I fully understand the conditions of a non-refundable rate. However, in my view, the hotel could still have considered a goodwill solution, such as allowing a date change for an additional charge, especially since I still intended to stay at the property.
In the end, the booking had to be cancelled or forfeited, even though a rebooking may actually have resulted in additional revenue for the hotel.
What disappointed me most was that there seemed to be no attempt to find an individual solution. To me, good customer service becomes especially important when a situation does not fit perfectly into the standard procedure.
Unfortunately, the result is that I will not consider the HYPERION Hotel Berlin for future stays, even though I never actually had the chance to stay there. My first impression of the hotel was created entirely by the way this situation was handled, and unfortunately, it was a very negative one.

Great hotel with perfect location!
Honestly, this hotel was a last-minute choice. And it turned out to be the perfect choice!
Great location in a very quiet area and yet close to everything.
Just around the corner a green area (Prager Platz) with a fountain, cafes, restaurants and daily shopping possibilities (EDEKA, ALDI and DM).
Nice and clean hotel with great breakfast. Minibar refilled (water, soft drinks and beer) every day at no cost.
Great well-equipped room. Room even had a balcony (to the backside of the hotel) with a table and two chairs. Was staying in room 537.
Neighbors to the hotel are private apartments, shops, a gym and an inside swimming pool (not part of the hotel).
Hotel located 250 meters from the underground: Güntzelstrasse
(3rd stop on U9 from Zoologischer Garten Bahnhof (Kurfürstendamm/Spichernstarsse/Güntzelstrasse ).
The only funny thing was that there was no door to the bathroom area (shower and sink). It was still a room on its own and couldn’t be faced from the sleeping area itself. There was just no door. Not a problem for me as I traveled alone, but if I traveled as a part of a couple, I would prefer a door. The toilet was beside the bathroom and had a door.
Can recommend the Indian restaurant VIPAN (Nikolsburger Pl. 2) and the backery BioBackhaus (Nassauische Str. 16A), both nearby (walking distance and same route).
No doubt that I’ll be back again next time I’m in Berlin.

Good hotel in a great area, a bit out of the beaten tourist track - but easy access to the area by metro or bicycle. Lovely area to walk around with many cafes and restaurants. It also offers fairly easy access to the airport, but it requires two changes. Breakfast was also great, but expensive if you haven’t pre-booked it. Tip! Ask for a room with a balcony and on the lower floors so that you can use the stairs (elevators are very slow and often with a long wait).
