Clean and Comfortable hotel close to Lake

I have stayed at Bavaria before ( for Balloon Festival ) and again this time for New Year.
The accommodation is clean and comfortable and located close to Lake Tegernsee and the amenities within the town.
The continental breakfast is very satisfactory with cold meats, cheeses, breads, yoghurts, various cereals and fresh fruit with choice of juice or tea and coffee.
It is also a very friendly hotel and we will be staying again this coming February.
No hesitation in recommending this hotel and the location.

One night

The Hotel is build in a very nice city close to the beautiful lake Tegernsee. The Hotel itself needs some renovation but all in all its is clean. The room we slept in was of decent size. The best thing about the stay was the beds, they were really good and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was decent and contained all the basic breakfast foods. I think the price for the one night was a bit steep but i will not rule out staying there again.

Reasonably priced, breakfast very good, hotel badly needs renovations.

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Bavaria. It is in a wonderful location and is reasonably priced. The room comes with breakfast which was very good. The proprietor and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing we found somewhat disappointing was the room. Although spacious, the room really needs to be renovated - badly! If they did renovate this hotel they could charge a much higher rate. The room had a side balcony and doorway to a very large communal balcony. We sleep with the window open which was not possible at this hotel. The window/door would not tip open. You either had to have the door open or closed, there was no half-way as is usual in Germany.
There are a couple very good restaurants in the area. One, an Italian restaurant, shares the same address as the hotel. There is a very good German restaurant just down the street.

A fantastic holiday in a magical area of europe.

The Hotel bavaria is an older hotel but with all the character you expect from a typical bavarian building.
The staff are friendly and helpful, you don't see much of them but they are available the minute you should need them. The apartments are well equipped and spacious.The breakfast is delicious and the fresh breads are a highlight. The complementary Tegernsee cards a a bonus providing 50% most local attractions and free bus travel. The area was snow covered during our stay making the views spectacular which ever direction you look in, but I believe it would be just as stunning all year round. There are many attractions near and a little further away, Munich Zoo is a must if you have kids.
All in all we had a fantastic time and are already planning our next visit.

Fantastic location

Booked for a weekend for the Montgolfiade - what a bargain.
Really lovely hotel
Room was spotless with a huge balcony at the front overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was very good.
Free parking and excellent location within walking distance of everything
