Recommendation for spa visitors
From the hotel, you can reach the spa via a quiet footpath. The room was large and had - important for hotels without air conditioning in the summer - a very good pedestal fan.
We slept great and had a very delicious breakfast. No "cafeteria feeling," quite the opposite! Very nice service; the fried or scrambled eggs are freshly prepared and brought to you.
Very nice selection and the buffet is arranged very appetizingly. Very commendable that plastic is largely avoided.
The bed was fantastic, the closet and room were large and clean.
A very special thanks to room service and the front desk for the great help with the missing car key. And of course to the friendly shuttle bus driver who drove us to the mountain inn and back again, a free service that we were very happy to use.
We had booked the hotel because the Best Western was much more expensive and we are very satisfied.

Service gets worse every year
We have been coming to Bad Staffelstein for a long time now and are regular guests at the hotel. Unfortunately, the service becomes less and less every year, for example, the steam bath did not work for technical reasons. At breakfast, meanwhile, the table is no longer set, no tablecloth out of austerity was told us. The ambience is like in a canteen but not like in a hotel. Worth mentioning is the very, very nice and helpful staff. Half board is not recommended. There are some nice Franconian restaurants in the village, which offer excellent regional cuisine. Unfortunately, there are hardly any alternatives to the hotel in Bad Staffelstein.

Fair rooms, excellent restaurant
The room is not bad but on the first day we had to complain at reception because the room smelled bad. The next day, with a nice clean, the smell had almost disappeared. On cleaning, therefore, you can improve. The bed is comfortable, the pillows a bit too high. Clean bathroom. Breakfast was generally varied, in the 3 days of our stay. Good choice of desserts, decent tea, good yogurt. Plus, always fresh fruit. The restaurant, which I had already tried on a previous trip, is excellent, both for fish dishes, such as salmon trout, and for meat dishes (tried a great duck with spring onions and vegetables). Weismainer draft beer is also good. Very thoughtful and friendly Service.

Very nice hotel
It was a nice stay.
Liked · We were greeted very friendly by the staff. The room we had was perfectly adequate for us. The breakfast theme changes every two days and there is also a different selection. Otherwise, the breakfast left nothing to be desired. Scrambled eggs and fried eggs are freshly prepared on request. Since the hotel is right next to the train station, trains run there that are hardly audible and do not disturb your sleep at night. The food in the restaurant was also very good. It was a nice stay. Thank you.
Didn't like · The biggest problem for us was that the bed was against the wall. That shouldn't be the case with the space. As a result, there was only a bedside table and a lamp by the bed. A small refrigerator would also not be bad as the room was in the attic. There were also very few TV channels. But it felt like all the public channels and very few private channels.

Excellent Hotel and Restaurant in Great Location
The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance to town, several restaurants, the Obermain Therme thermal baths, the train station, and some nice walking and bike trails through the countryside. The hotel has elevators and there is ample free parking. Our room was large and nicely decorated, with a wardrobe, desk, refrigerator, safe, flatscreen TV, and a comfy bed. The bathroom was also large with a great shower and lots of counter space. The entire hotel and restaurant staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and professional. Covid precautions were implemented better than other hotels we’ve visited recently. The breakfast was very good, as was our dinner in the restaurant. We hope to return many times to Rödiger on our future visits to the area.
