Perfect stay at the Hotel am Kurpark – clear recommendation

I had an all-around successful stay at the Hotel am Kurpark in Bad Hersfeld. The entire team was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times. The room was very clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The quiet location right by the Kurpark invites you to relax and is at the same time an ideal starting point for exploring Bad Hersfeld.
The breakfast also impressed me: a large selection, fresh products, and a pleasant ambiance. You can tell that great importance is placed on quality and hospitality here.
I felt very comfortable during my entire stay and would love to come back anytime. Many thanks to the entire team for the excellent service – a clear recommendation!

Anything but a 4-star hotel

The hotel has clearly seen better days and is in need of a general refresh. However, everything is very clean and we experienced very friendly staff in all areas. The floral decorations on the balconies are also nice, but not when the flowers are not watered (which I then did). These half-dead flowers are a reflection of the overall situation of the hotel. It is advertised as a 4-star hotel, which it certainly is no longer. In the bathroom, for example, there was only liquid soap, nothing more.
The breakfast is actually very good, but who wants to stand in a long line in front of the machine as the xth person. That there is no 2nd. machine being used is inexplicable, but also essential for this not-so-good review. The entrance situation to the breakfast restaurant should also be changed. Since several visitor flows (e.g. also garden etc.) meet there, including the buffet located there, there is a hopeless crowd and you stand in between with your full plate. The still relatively young, very friendly, and active restaurant manager does his best, but it is at times a hopeless battle.

Always happy to return.

The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly. We had half board and were very satisfied with the food offerings. Small issues like a squeaky door were resolved immediately. Due to the proximity to the spa park, it is
very quiet.

Not recommended , hotel is old, reception staff sometimes very unfriendly. Value for money is not appropriate. Buffet food was cold and stale.

4 * Hotel? -Better hostel with canteen-

Our stay at the Kurhotel Am Kurpark was unfortunately disappointing and in no way met the standards of a 4-star hotel. Instead, we felt more like we were in a youth hostel.
The rooms were very reminiscent of a broom cupboard with bathroom – clean and tidy, but extremely small and very spartanly decorated. The price-performance ratio is disproportionate to what is offered here.
Even the “hotel restaurant” was not convincing. The dining room had the charm of a canteen. The food was good bourgeois, but by no means met expectations for a house of this category.
On the positive side, the breakfast is good quality and plenty of choice at the buffet. However, the cappuccino was not available in peak breakfast time, as the self-service machine was maintained in prime time, of all times – an avoidable and annoying service error.
Overall, we cannot recommend this place. For a 4-star hotel, comfort, atmosphere and reasonable value for money are lacking.
