Well located hotel on the edge of the city center. The room was at the back, which is recommended given the location on the main road. The room was very quiet, spacious and clean. The hotel is extensive and therefore the search for a room initially involved a few detours. Check-in/check-out was problem-free. Very friendly staff at reception and in the service. A tour group was having breakfast with us at the same time, which pushed the capacity of the breakfast room to the limits, but there is a smaller room at the entrance that was very quiet. Breakfast was sufficient and good. Bicycles can be parked in the garage.

The hotel has certainly seen better days. Rooms as well as rest are in desperate need of renovation. Breakfast was lousy - no fresh bread rolls, rancid bacon, the rest dried and stale. only bright spot was the parking lot next to the house for small money. Never again.

Pretty run down
In the first room the shower was very dirty, black mold on the shower hose and on the edges of the glass, the new room we got was very small. The breakfast has recently been given a canteen look, the last time we were there it was still cozy in the current restaurant---a shame that this is no longer an option for us at this price

Geheimtipp!
A very nice little hotel with very friendly staff. Not very new anywhere - everything in fact a bit old - but that does not matter. I would recommend Wilder Mann to every buisness traveller out there. If you come in the middle of the night, it will be arranged. If you fancy a beer with your co-traveller before the bar is open, no probs.
You are in good hands here, with a very good restaurant strongly rooted in local cuisine, and a good breakfast the morning after. The rooms are perfectly tidy, beds are good. The spa area is in good condition, and is kept open an hour later, should you ask for it.

Never again!
The hotel is located on a very busy street! The entrance area looks very classy, but when you get to the floors, everything is pretty old!
We had booked a comfort plus double room in a quiet location. But what we got was an absolute disgrace! It was quiet, but where was the comfort plus? When we opened it, a musty smell came out! The room was relatively large, but only had a small window looking out onto the shaft. Airing the room properly...no chance! And we were supposed to stay here for two days?
I immediately went back to reception and asked for another room. Since we arrived relatively early, I was given a key and we could go and have a look. This room was no longer quiet, as it was on the side street off the main road, but it had 4 windows and no longer smelled of damp. We decided to stay here. The poor things that got the other "dungeon"! Comfort plus room, ha, I'm not laughing!
We imagined it would be a little more comfortable, because the brighter room was not comfortable either. Old carpet, old beds, a chimney through the middle of the room (noise until around 11 p.m.), old furniture, etc.
But the breakfast was amazing! The dining room resembled that of a canteen or barracks. I have never seen anything so unloving!
There was a bit of everything, but fresh is different...yoghurt and fruit salad!
The rolls and croissants, on the other hand, were baked and refilled every minute...but only 5-10 rolls at a time!??? I think they didn't want any leftovers at the end of breakfast. Many guests had to wait until a few more rolls were brought, we were earlier and were lucky!
But for us guests, that is anything but desirable! The jams too...two kinds in open bowls. One of them was practically empty and so there was only one left the next day! No labels about what to spread on the bread, nothing!
We lost our appetite, even though breakfast is almost the most important meal of the day for us! The coffee machine was a highlight, however. You could get really good coffee from it. It didn't really fit in this breakfast room at all!
We were happy when we could leave after two days. We've never experienced anything so unfriendly (apart from the service at the bar in the evening)! You're not welcome...there's only work! But they're happy to take your money!
We've already spent 14 days on the Main and have visited such beautiful hotels and met great people. But here in the "Wilder Mann"...thanks, never again!
There is one positive thing: the bike garage has direct access to the hotel. This makes it easier with your luggage.

Wir haben ihre Kritik zur Kenntnis genommen und möchten kurz chronologisch dazu Stellung beziehen:
Zunächst einmal war für Sie Zimmer 127 gebucht, - etwa 28 qm groß, zur Rückseite, Fenster mit 1,4qm geht zu einem kleinen Innenhof mit etwa 30qm der voll begrünt ist ( ihr Schacht..)
die Generalsanierung / Möbel /Bad / Teppich usw. fand im Jahr 2018 statt – voll Profi Hotelausstatter Qualität
Anschließend sind sie umgezogen in ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite, es ist richtig dass der Wilde Mann an einer Zugangsstraße in Aschaffenburg an der Mainbrücke liegt, das ist seit rund 500 Jahren so, so lange sind wir hier ein gastliches Haus! Ich denke das ist rund um den Globus so dass eben Hotels auch gerade an den Straßen liegen, dass hier gerade im Sommer bei geöffneten Fenstern eben auch ein teil des Verkehrs zu hören ist, lässt sich nicht ändern – auch dies ist weltweit so!
Das Frühstück, …auch dieser Bereich wurde 2017 für rund eine viertel Million € umgebaut, in diesem Bereich werden pro Tag bis zu 200 Frühstücke abgewickelt. Ok. Die Menschen bedienen sich alle von einem Büffet, der Raum selbst ist somit zweckmäßig und eben keine Romantikstube, neben dem Raum steht aber gerade für Frühstücksgäste am Morgen, unsere Lounge, unsere komplettes Restaurant und auch die Dachterrasse zur Verfügung - theoretisch können hier auch problemlos 200 Menschen auf einmal sitzen, dass das Hau s etwas verwinkelt ist, liegt am Alter, aber gerade das genießen eigentlich sehr viele unserer Gäste, das können Sie auch im Internet nachlesen.
Frühstückssortiment, nun, wir haben für das Frühstück eine eigene Küche und machen auch noch sehr viele Sachen selbst, z. B. die große Auswahl der Brotaufstriche, Alles unverpackt, frisch zubereitet
Dafür stehen hier Mensch noch vor Sonnenaufgang in der Küche!
Unfreundliches personal, damit treffen Sie uns ehrlich gesagt ins Herz! Es ist in unsere Branche seit Corona mit Abstand das Hauptproblem, überhaupt noch Mitarbeiter für Dienst und Leistung zu finden, die Situation ist vollkommen irre geworden und wenn Sie den Main Radweg herunter gefahren sind, dann werden Sie sicher festgestellt haben, wie viele Gasthöfe und Hotels inzwischen komplett aufgegeben haben! Die Situation wird sich übrigens nächstes Jahr mit der Steuererhöhung nochmals massiv verschärfen – man rechnet etwa mit 20.000 Schließungen in Deutschland.
Gerade unser Personalstamm findet im überwältigen Teil unserer Internetbewertungen sehr großen Anklang übrigens geben wir für diesen Posten auch 52 % unseres Umsatzes aus!
Es ist unser Sinnen und Trachten professionell Gäste zu bewirten und zu beherbergen, dass dies in einem Haus mit so einer langen Geschichte nicht so einfach ist wie in einem neuen Investment Betrieb auf der grünen Wiese versteht sich von selbst aber es ist immer noch unsere Berufung und dafür leben wir 24/7.
Ich sage es Ihnen ganz ehrlich, mit Ihrer Kritik, schlagen Sie unseren Mitarbeitern massiv ins Gesicht, das wollen und können wir uns nicht erlauben, es klingt vielleicht überheblich, aber Mitarbeiter sind aktuell noch viel schwerer zu finden als Gäste, von denen wir natürlich leben! Leben Sie wohl – besuchen Sie uns aber bitte nicht mehr!

P.S. übrigens zu unserem Betrieb hier gehört auch das Hotel Stiftsberg und der goldene Karpfen direkt gegenüber und 100 Meter weiter, auch diese Gäste checken hier ein frühstücken hier, beide Objekte waren vor unserer Übernahme aufgegeben, weil die Eigentümer die Sanierung / Brandauflagen etc. nicht mehr stemmen konnten, wir haben Beide saniert und der „goldene Karpfen“ ist ebenfalls mit 500 jähriger Geschichte wieder stolz am Markt, das ist Tradition und Verpflichtung und wir unterstützen dies mit Dienst und Leistung rund um die Uhr! Auch diese beiden Häuser werden trotz ihres Alters geschätzt und sind bei vielen Stammgästen beliebt – jedem kann man es nicht Recht machen das ist auch klar, Sie genießen auch in den beiden Häusern aber bitte nicht unsere Gastfreundschaft.
